AIRLINERS SAVE THE DAY!

I try to keep several pairs of these airliners so that I would be able to calm the dust and fuzz throughout the house. I vacuum the dust and dog hair each week as I vacuum the floor so that I don't have to deal with heavy sections filled with dog or cat hair. I find my house smells more like a nice house now than a home for old wet dogs & cats!! I give "extra pounts" to these 'airliners' for them working on our chances. Well worth doing!

On May 26, 2026, I ordered two 2-packs of these 18x24x1 MERV 11 (1085 MPR) Allergen Defense Extra Electrostatic filters. Today, while swapping a used filter for a new one, I noticed that one filter is different from the others: three are white and one is dark gray. I don't know why, or if they perform the same way!

Damaged in Shipping

These A/C Filters have to be ordered online because they are not carried in-store. Apparently, they are uncommon. The fit tolerance in my air handler is very tight, so it is important that they are not mis-shapen in any way. Mine were damaged somewhat in shipping, causing an installation issue. I'm sure that in undamaged condition, the installation would not be an problem. So, this is more of a service critique than a product review. The product itself is probably 5 star.

Filter too big for space.

Would Not Recommend

3M might want to look at their manufacturing tool for this size filter. To install them, I had to bend in the corners to fit the space. I've purchased plenty of these, first time I've had to manipulate the filter casing to fit the space.

I feel like we see less dust and our house feels cleaner when using these filters. They last a shorter time than the thinner filters but that’s self explanatory. I don’t feel like it restricts any airflow haven’t had any problems with unit freezing up.

An excellent filter for people with allergies. Still need to keep windows closed to keep allergens outside but the filters seem to make a difference. Easy to change and should be done regularly.

Was given the wrong size when picked up order (ordered 20x20, they gave me 20x25). Didn't realize it was wrong until my husband took it out of package and tried to install. Frustrating!
