I love my ego, in general. This blade is a sore spot, tho. I know that they have a dual blade system in the most recent iteration of the mower. I bought a high lift blade but it does use more battery and even made mine cut out a few times due to overheating/excessive power draw. The original blade got bent and chipped easily. Revitalizes your Ego mower

Easy installation and it's a combination cutting + mulching blade. Installing this fresh blade provided an immediate improvement for my mower, with more finely cut grass and a substantial increase in mower run time. It's definitely the kind of maintenance that is easy to overlook and one doesn't realize how much difference a sharp blade makes until they install it.

I have been using the mower for a few months now. Two concerns. First, the cut (with the mulching plug in place) is very uneven. A line of incompletely cut grass runs along the path of travel (just off to the right of center). With my previous mower (a T***) I had no real need to make TWO passes to get a smooth cut. Great mower - bad blade

Just here to echo the comments of others that the blade does not seem to lift the grass at all. Had mine now for 3 months and while I enjoy the features of the mower the cut leaves much to be desired, Even at low cut settings I find that there are many patches of grass left uncut or even go back over the lawn with a blower to find grass laying down. This mower is great if you mow every other day; not so much for those of us living in the real world. I am not sure I can 100% recommend this mower ...

No lift from the blade.

I love the lawnmower for the low noise, the ease of storage, etc. But my problem is that even though I have sharpened the blade, it does not lift the grass to make a clean cut. It sort of 'bends' the grass over, and within a short time after cutting, it stands back up again, and looks very uneven. I am glad to hear of a better designed blade coming out this summer. I'll be waiting anxiously. Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket blades, like Gator blades, that might fit. Aside from this ...

For mowing its good, mulching needs improvement!

Been using this mower for over a year and a half now. The mower is fantastic during the spring and summer months when I am just mowing the grass. While it is adequate during the fall when I am mowing and mulching leaves that have fallen, it could do a better job of drawing up the leaf debris and chopping it finer. I was hoping to find an accessory blade specifically designed for better mulching performance.
