Purchased CS1800 from Lowes Dec 2025. Did not begin to use it until late April of 2026. I was using it on a felled tree trunk having about a 3 ft diameter. The battery would die out after about a half hour. And it would take about 3 hours to recharge fully. I did not see that as a show stopper but something I wish I had known before I bought it. Another good Ego product
This was a christmas gift that I had not used until this month. We knew we were going to have trees falling or that would need to be taken down. This saw did everything that it said it would do. I like being able to reach all parts of the yard and not having the noise of a gas engine. We used it the first time for about three hours on one charge.

Decent cutting power, just doesn’t work properly
Bought the 18 inch chainsaw and it has never oiled properly from the start, I’ve used the ego brand chain lube and it still doesn’t do anything. I’ve had to resort to using a spray bottle and oil it by hand. Burned through a handful of blades now. It’s a pretty good chainsaw with plenty of power, just doesn’t work like it should.

18" Chainsaw and 5amp battery
I have only used it once, it worked very well. I like it because when you release the trigger, it stops. Also, buying this with the 5amp battery provided us with an additional battery for our other EGO tool (21" mower, weed-eater, blower). My only wish \ suggestion is that EGO would provide a service to "fix" a battery that will not take a full charge (10amp battery 6 years old, only 2 out of 5 lights will charge).

Great Battery Powered Chainsaw
The Ego Power+ 18 inch chainsaw is great for limbing and bucking small diameter down blow and other storm debris. I've only used it once so far, in the week and a half I've had it. I took care of two balsam fir trees that fell down during a storm. I was bucking 6 inch diameter rounds for the stem of the tree. The chainsaw is easy and comfortable to use. From lawn mowers to the chain saws and the power head with attachments I’ve used and abused their products and I can say confidently with 10+ years of hard use they make great stuff that holds up. I still have the 16” chain saw that I’ve been cutting all my firewood since 2016 and it still works great. The new 18 was an addition for larger logs.

Ego Awesome - Lowe's not so much
Haven't used the saw yet but I'm sure it'll be great just like all my other Ego gear - a presumtive 5 stars. However, Lowe's is another story. Not sure what's going on with this company but it's nothing good. Saw was advertised on 11/30 for $249 online, good through 12/24 and showed 4 in stock locally. Good homeowners saw
Compared to the 18” poulon pro this is replacing, I wasn’t able to bog the Ego down at all. Cut though with no problems. Was concerned with there not being a full case that I’d end up with bar oil all over, but however they setup the automatic oil system, it doesn’t leak between uses. Really happy with my purchase.

This is a useless saw
I'm on my second saw. The first one was DOA after the first use of cutting down a 16" dia. maple. EGO replaced it under warranty. The replacement was DOA after taking down an 18" dia. pine. Waiting to see was service finds wrong with the unit. All in all I got roughly 4 hours of use out of each saw. Save your money
