This is a good, solid trimmer. It’s light and powerful, vibration free, and battery life is surprisingly good. Lightweight, which is good. The battery will last only an hour, so if you have a big job to do, you may want an extra battery. Batteries do charge fast. Loading the string can be slow and sometimes gets hung up, so you have to manually assist it. Also no back pack style harness exists and regular ones have a clip that the weed eater does not have I was able to buy a shoulder harness that had a ring I could use to adapt a backpack harness. I like it, but....
The string broke off at the eyelet within the 1st 20 feet. I tried to reload it, but it was too twisted. I took it out and wound the replacement string. It worked for a while, but broke several times. I have since read that the string lasts longer if it's soaked in water 24 hours before using. I'll have to try that. The trimmer was easy to assemble. It has a good balance, and is not too heavy for me (a 72 yr old woman). I have a very large yard, and the battery is more than adequate.

Was looking to replace my gas-powered string trimmers with electric but wasn't sure the batteries would provide enough power or last long enough to finish the job. EGO got good reviews from a friend, so I bought this one to try and am very happy with it. Strong battery, long run time, and the unit as a whole is lighter. It cuts well and is easy to maneuver, also like the bump string advance feature. Haven't had to load new string yet but the Powerload feature will make life easier.

Arrived on time, easy pick-up in the store. Nice,, clean parking lot. The trimmer was well packed, good instructions, easy to assemble. The charger and battery were impressive, charged well, the trimmer operates great. The “bump-feed” feature on the string is awesome. This trimmer has a string load motor to autonatically load replacement string. I have not needed it yet, but like the feature for convenience. Overall good shopping experience and great product.

Only used the trimmer once and after 15 minutes I had to stop due to a sore left arm. I tried multiple positions of handle and cannot find a point of good balance. It seems a good quality trimmer but I don't think I'll be using it going forward because I find it so uncomfortable. I searched AI sites for balance advice to no avail. Just not going to work for me....

Very good trimmer. Good for large cutting areas
The assembly was easy and the trimmer seems like it is well made, good quality. Easy to use and the battery last for a fairly long time and it doesn't take long to charge it up. I put a shoulder strap and a extended handle on it. It balances out really well. I like the power of the trimmer. So far I am pleased with the trimmer.

Breaks easily, warranty process is a joke
The equipment is great, until it stops working for no reason. Their policy is to have everything serviced instead of issuing replacements. This means you have to bring to an authorized service center and wait until the piece is repaired. The whole process ends up costing more than the tool. I like not having to buy gas & mix it with oil & pull several times on the cord to get it to start. I like the lighter weight of the EGO unit vs my Echo gas trimmer, however I could use a .155 cord in that trimmer. The EGO is a nice change - glad I purchased your product.
