On initial attempt to use trimmer it was frustrating because the line would not feed. After several attempts to feed the line I had to remove the head and untangle the trimmer line. After rewinding and replacing the head it seems to be working. I am still trying to adjust to this trimmer which is a little heavier and bulkier that my previous trimmer.

Two years, worked great cuts well and battery last long enough to do a large yard, but recently the switch/trigger has been failing. The part that I needed is no longer available from EGO which is really strange for a tool this new. Luckily I found one online at a dealer. It is tough to install so we will see after it is replaced. This is the worst weedeater to ever exist. If you plan on weedeating more than 15 minutes you’re out of luck. Want to charge it after you use it. Nope, the battery has to cool down before it can be charged again. New batteries cost $350. The biggest scam to hit Lowe’s besides the actual store itself. Shows you what Lowe’s is really about. Just Ok
Cutting depends on string you use. It ergonomically jolds well.. A bit unbalanced. Easy to reload. Runtime is good depending on the battery size. Very minimal vibration.

I've used this trimmer twice and I don't like it as well as my old one. Maybe I still need to get used to it. I have trouble aligning the head to the grass I want to trim and sometimes cut the grass too low. The tap line feed doesn't work well. I have to turn the trimmer over and feed the line manually.

Great Trimmer
I purchased this in replacement of my Worx dual battery trimmer. My Worx was still functional and battery life was decent but I needed something with a bit more cutting and power flexibility. The adjustable speed and the safety trigger lever is a nice addition to this tool to keep from accidentally turning on by laying on the ground or the grand kiddos close to my tools. String not advancing
So far I've been disappointed with the trimmer due to the string not advancing. I am not sure whether it's an issue with me or the design or something else. Tapping the head on a firm surface seems to do nothing. I've had to remove the string and reload it a couple of times to at least get some string out so I can do some trimming. If I am able to figure this out or hear back from Ego on how to resolve this issue, I will revisit this review

This is my second EGO string trimmer. After the first one's "trigger" mechanism failed, the tool was replaced under warranty with the one I own now, which is the subject of this review. This unit has features that my old one did not. So far, I have not used it a lot, but I have been well impressed by it.
