Poor batteries and chargers but what can we do

Inconsistent and sometimes won’t charge or dies with the trimmer and other tools. I continue to have problems with batteries that are part of a kit or purchased separately that were manufactured in 2024 and 2025. Support is poor too.

Batteries Fail

I love your products but your batteries just do not last. They are so expensive that they should last at least 10 years. they seem to stop working just after the warranty is up. Not sure they are worth the investment required I have bought 2 blowers and 2 string trimmers. They do well. The batteries have tons of power when they work but as I have said they have a problem with continuously working. Very frustrating.

The leaf blower is great. The battery lasted just a year which is concerning, which has been warranted and replaced which was great. Otherwise like the tool.

4 amp hour battery x3

I have 3 of the 4 hour batteries. 2 work just fine and seem to last a long time. One is used on a leaf blower another is used for a line trimmer. Third one is on the new hedge trimmer. This one is problematic. It will function as designed for awhile then, even after charging will show a red circle or one red bar that flashes. The size is great

Great battery size - lasts long enough to mow the lawn and light enough to use with the string trimmer, blower, edger and hedge trimmer.

Battery Replacement

I purchased this 4.0 AMP battery as my original 7.5 AMP is no longer holding sufficient charge to entirely mow my lawn. Replacing the 7.5 AMP with a new one would have been the price of purchasing a new EGO lawn mower with a 5.0 AMP battery. Full Feature Battery

Hard to write an interesting review of a battery. Like all EGO batteries, it charges fast, has a nice display of power left, and is expensive. It's very convenient that all their batteries operate all their devices, with a huge range of Amp Hours to choose from. Wish something on the battery told us how many times the batteries were in a charger. I've been led to believe that's what determines how long they're good for. Also wish EGO would buy or accept them back for recycling.

Very Satisfied

The original 4.0 amp-hour battery that came with the tool failed after two years of use. The battery would not take a charge. The battery was quickly replaced, and the replacement battery has been performing well. I have a number of EGO tools and am very happy with their efficiency and performance for the most part.
