Nice Idea, Needs Upgrading

I purchased this tool specifically to help me shine some brass plates that have had 50 years of tarnish build up on them. I originally tried the Dremel rotary tool, but with such a small buffer pad, it took me forever to do one plate. The Versa worked like a charm! There were two major problems for me with this tool. Tool is great but there are no accessory refills!

This works great, romeved all linds of gunk from tile, shower surround, etc. after a couple days of heavy use the blue scrubber pad was hammered. I went to Lowe’s and couldn’t find any replacement pads, couldn’t find them online either. Called Dremel and they told me that no stores currently carry replacement pads! The concept of Dremel's Versa tool is great and has promise. It fits in the hand nicely and comes with a nice assortment of attachments that are easy to swap out. I have owned two Dremel Versas and both broke on me. For some reason Dremel decided to value engineer the charge port. Considering that this is a tool that absolutely will get wet the fact that they decided to use a completely non-water resistant charge port without any sort of built in cover is inexplicable to say the least. I am receiving a free accessory pack from Dremel in exchange for my honest review. We just purchased the Dremel Versa the other day so I have yet to use it myself, but my husband has used it on his truck rims. He keeps his rims cleaned and shined all the time, so this was a good test in seeing if it made a difference compared to using his hands and a towel. It did. One came out a lot nicer than usual.
