Bought 3 of these and the led burned out on all

I bought 3 of these lights because I liked the first one so much well after about a month I noticed one wouldn't be as bright as it was so I started using my second one. I noticed it failed after about 2 weeks. Same with the 3rd. So I opened the end up to look and see if it was dirty or what. To my surprise the led was completely brown on all 3

Bright Enough

I have brighter lights, but 500 lumens is sufficient for a variety of tasks around the house. I charged the light overnight using the USB cable and adaptor provided. Rugged compact flashlight

The 3 intensity settings for the beam is a nice feature, because you don't always need a blindingly-bright light. The brightest setting is impressively bright, with the clean white light you'd expect from an LED flashlight. Poor choice if LED

when you first turn around it's super bright. after some use it gets really hot where the LED bulb inside turns black. once that happens it becomes dim and if you actually open it up and remove the rubber LED cap thing now you have a blue light. I replaced two of these under warranty and same thing.

Brighter than expected

Not 500 lumens bright

Pros: Dremel brand, solid construction, hefty, easy to charge, easy to operate. Cons: the LED bulb does not provide 500 lumens - not even close - more like my childhood flashlight with low D batteries. Like another reviewer noticed: the LED bulb appears to be black - so no wonder the light appears to be a low power soft yellow. Disappointing.
