Solid construction, good design

Bought this for a shower diy project. Worked out great. The sides have a good lip with some height to assist with drainage. Relatively easy to install

Warning: not idiot-proof!

Great product but would be helpful if you put a large warning sticker on the unit, since my moron installer didn't look at the instructions (or can't read) and didn't use mortar. Tile went on afterward and now we have a very squeaky pan and a difficult repair. Either we remove the tile that was set around it, and the pan, which will be costly, or we try and inject foam underneath. We are going to try the latter. It's unfortunate that you have to idiot-proof a product, but one big 'ol sticker...

Damaged Goods

I ordered this sower pan from Lowes Online. had good reviews and it seemed like a good deal. ship to store was a week and it arrived on the date promised. No damage to the box, but when I opened it up the threshold was badly scratched and scuffed. one scratch was so deep it went through the black layer into the white. I can only conclude it was either damaged by a previous customer and returned or the manufacturer sent out that way. Whichever the case it was unacceptable, hence the 1 star rati...

Highly recommend it.

Beautiful, Sturdy, Heavy, Solid. It has no give to it when stepped on, is very shiny and sleek looking, and the 36" feels HUGE compared to our old 22" wide tub/shower. One thing we did though, was to add some little bar magnets in about four places along the inside threshold of the base. Then we glued some small circle magnets to the outside of our shower curtain liner. Easy to install and solid to stand on.

This is a good solid shower base. It was generally square and straight although the front edge was a bit bowed out. It doesn’t come with a drain so keep that in mind. Instructions are a bit vague especially regarding how much mortar to set underneath the base.

I Like the shower floor and think it will work but I tryed to order a Left Drain but got a center I guess we can make it work but my Husband was not Happy about it.

Doesn't stay clean

The first was cracked and had to be returned, delaying the completion of the shower, a rather major inconvenience. So always check before you pull out the old shower or tub. This pan seems to attract dirt, even though the bathroom window is never open and a fan is always used. I use a daily shower cleaner, but it doesn't seem to help. I have never experienced this problem in the many, many showers I have had previously.

Attractive & Functional

It is a very attractive product and brings the appearance of the bathroom up a notch, though time will tell if it holds up to regular use. Note that, even though the dimensions were listed as 32" x 32", it was actually 32 1/8" x 32 1/8": That 1/8" matters when fitting into an existing opening [I was able to make it work ;-) ]. Also, beware of the possibilities of fiber "splinters" on the back when installing it.
