Beautiful but extremely unstable & top heavy

I'm truly conflicted to leave a less than stellar review, but after the money I paid for this decoration I need to share. This is a beautiful holiday decoration. It is. Mickey Holiday Lamp Post

I purchased 2 of these in 10/23/2021@Lowes in Las Vegas NV. I live in CA. When I finally opened my items 11/27/2021, to my surprise, one of the posts is missing a Santa hat and both ears and the other post is missing a right ear. Majaor Stability Issues

I own this and a previous version of the Mickey Lamps (other has a globe top). Both have the same issue, stability. If you are anywhere that experiences occasional winds 10mph or more, this item is in serious danger of damage. The anchors are hooks that do not actually go through the base, but rather outside of the base with the hook going over the base edge. Not worth it

Big Disney fan and thought these were really cute. Got them for outside since I wanted it to go with the theme I have. It is so light that even a little wind blows them over and one of them has already cranked really bad but you can see when it’s facing the house. We even put a bag with sand in the base to help. This was 5lbs worth and still blew over. Definitely don’t get if you live somewhere windy. They need to say for indoor use only and not both

Love Disney Christmas line

I love this line at Lowes. They're so festive and cute. This post was extremely easy to put together and lit up nicely with swirling red and green lights inside. The box we received had some questionable tape but the product inside was great, thankfully. Shipment was quick and arrived a day earlier than expected. Garbage for the price

Purchased this full price, stupidly expecting a quality product from Disney. You’re paying for the name. It’s cheap plastic and completely unstable. We had it outside for one day using the junk stakes they provide in the box. It blew over and both ears broke off, so now there’s no way to get the ears back on short of welding on new metal pieces. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money.

While I absolutely love the look of this I am extremely disappointed. The stakes used to secure the light post don't stabilize it enough. and the ears are not very secure. My post blew over and the metal pieces that slide the ears in the hat both broke off. It didn't even last a week. It's far too expensive to not be able to be used again.

Love it

Very cute, my kids absolutely love it! The light is not super bright, you can’t tell that’s it’s on at all if it’s light outside (which I realize isn’t the point, just using it as a reference for brightness). All parts are plastic and some of the assembly required squeezing the plastic to get it to fit into the other pieces, but it wasn’t difficult. All in all assembly took maybe 2 minutes. Be Warned

Gemmy no longer considers this an 'active' product and therefore does not manufacture/supply replacement parts. The ear broke off my lamp after a gentle breeze knocked it over. I called Gemmy and they confirmed the product has been 'inactive' for a couple of years now and they do not supply replacement parts for it. I would not consider this product for outdoor use.

Worth The Price

Got it on a holiday special deal and it was well worth the price. It doesn’t emit a very bright light, so if you have it among the rest of your Christmas decorations, it’ll probably get lost in the mix. Definitely a nice addition though, especially if you have a little area with nothing around it. That being said, make sure you’re positioning it on your lawn or secured with tie-downs.
