Moen tub/shower kit replacement is compatible with Moentrol and Posi-Temp cartridge style shower faucets
Replaces Moentrol 220, 240, 2600 and 2700 series with and without diverters and replaces Moen Posi-Temp series 2300 with and without diverters (replaces existing Moen shower trim kits OEM# 28951, 28951, 28961, 89273 and 89275)
Important installation tip: to properly install this product, you need a minimum of a 3-1/2 inch opening in the wall for the offset portion of the trim plate to sit back in to ensure it sets flush to the wall
Includes adapters to fit Posi-Temp pressure balancing and Moentrol tub and shower faucets while replacing the tub/shower valve trim with simple household tools making this a DIY project

This handle/cover are almost like the original but you'll miss the colors for hot/cold. Its a great fit for replacing the original especially if you had to drill out the hex nut in the handle. If the hard water stains on the original face plate cover weren't so bad - I would have like to reuse just for the colorized hot/cold aspect.

cheap easy way to clean up existing shower handle.
the product was nice, i liked that it came with the option to use the clear knob or the solid metal handle. the finish seems okay but time will tell as other reviews say it fails quickly. it is all plastic which is a negative IMO because when you're screwing the plate down everything flexes where the interchangeable inner plate clicks to the outer ring. the metal handle seems wobbly despite being very tight. on the plus side, it really cleaned up our shower and now we have the brushed finish to ...

Terrible Product
My wife and I purchased this product from Lowes and had our plumber install 2 sets of these in our 2 bathroom showers. The handle that controls hot to cold is a ridiculous design. it has a metal handle that sets into a plastic track which begs to wear out which is exactly what happened. Worth it, better than having to replace new valve
I did a lot of research before purchasing this kit, I have an old Moen standard valve and could not find any replacement kits that would fit it as easily as this Danco kit. Buy Moen instead if you can
I'm giving this 2 stars because I had it on my shower for 9 years. The finish on the handle came off, but the thing worked. I recently replaced it and the install was very loose, like the pieces didn't fit. Because one of the cover plates was also missing, I returned it and just bought the Moen equivalent. The Moen fit perfectly and it installed much more securely than this product.
