No underscore!?!?

I bought this to make cable wraps, label patch panels, label computers, and other things such as what it claims to be for. The naming convention for our PC's includes underscores. It was only after purchasing that I discovered that there is no underscore option... WHAT? Underscores are extremely common in IT where you would be making barcodes and cable wraps... how is there no underscore!? Beyond that, it can be very confusing on how to accomplish certain tasks. Too many missing basics

I bought this labeler because it has a qwerty keyboard and because it can also print multi-line labels, and supports several widths of labels. I also like that it has a backlight display and is very quiet. However, it is missing the underscore and ampersand characters and many characters are hiding in sub menus making them a pain to use. They could have made them directly accessible with alt-letter keys. I also find the size 12 narrow font to be too wide. I was expecting for the same narr...

DYMO Rhino Upgrade

I finally wore out my old label maker (can't remember the model). I recently replaced it with the Rhino 4200 in order to take advantage of some of the newer functions of this model. I have been very pleased with the quality, performance and ease of use of this product. It is fairly intuitive to use and simple to operate. DYMO continues to provide a quality product.

LESS FEATURES+LETTER SIZE LIMITS = LAME

I had the 3000 but the printer head would often clog so I decided to jump up to the 4200 in hopes to eliminate that issue. I assumed that the same features would be available on the "better" model plus some. WRONG! With the 3000 I could print a double line on 3/8" label with large bolded lettering on both lines. Now with this 4200 as soon as I hit return to start next line it limits me to a max of 8 pts. SO LAME! Can hardly read it and wastes half the tape! I hate this machine and I feel cheated...

labeler pro

for the price this is a great tool and the functions it has. it can label wires in either direction. cloth last longer... work better too. very good brand. I have the 400 dollar one .. few more functions ... but this is just as good . need something in a pinch.

Great Product

I contemplated getting either the 5000 or 6000 series printer for some time until I came across the 4200 at an expo that I went to a couple years ago. I use it on an almost daily basis. I definitely recommend this for anybody that needs a label maker. The QWERTY keyboard makes typing a breeze. A hard case with battery and charger would make an excellent addition to this device along with storage for extra ribbons.

well i have used this label maker for labeling all the wiring in my 1960 mfg sea cruiser and use it daily in my access control business now i start to use it and it jams i replace the cart. and it prints one label and then jams i do everything but take it apart what can i do billy

Amazing functionality for little $$

Huge bang for the buck. Very straight forward and easy to use. Within 15 minutes I had a system down for labeling all my cables and equipment with saved templates. Printing bar codes is a huge plus for me so I can keep track of where equipment is deployed. Found a great smart phone app for scanning bar codes that sends the data straight to my computer, which queries a database. Life couldn't be easier!

screen no longer works

I pulled it out of the computer bag one day and the batteries were completely dead. New batteries made no difference. It was a year and a week old. Not impressed.

Prints on heat shrink!

I'm using this to label wires on a van conversion. After market heat shrink is available and makes it reasonably economical to use. I'm happy with it.
