Good tools but…

The 887, one of the best compact cordless impacts you can get, died after a year of light use. Will be bring it back for a new one, hopefully it’s just a dud. The flashlight isn’t very bright, my 25$ coast flashlight is way brighter. The resip saw is nice because it’s compact but it vibrates very bad when compared to my other corded Milwaukee saw. Do not buy. 1st battery dead in 60 days

I bought this as a 20volt starter kit. I have owned and used dewalt 18v tools for years and generally been happy with their performance. All batteries eventually die or lose ability to charge. In this kit, 1 of 2 of the 2AH batteries will no longer take a charge and its only been 60 days since purchase. The charger light stays red and the indicator on the battery dimly lights all 3 bars momentarily. The battery will not even light the flashlight. The 2nd battery runs for about 30 seconds at...

It's a very good price for the power you get.

This DeWalt set is awesome. The light is at least 100 times brighter than the last model. The torque of the the drill is on spot. The saw is smaller than the previous model and has more torque. Love the 20 volt system.

The hammer drill is not too powerful

The hammer drill really ruins this kit as I really like the rest. Today using a wood boring bit through a 2x10 and it got through and didn’t have enough power to reverse it out of the wood. Several times I’ve had bit come out of the chuck when I can almost hold the drill still with gloves on to tighten. I think I’m going to return and try a different brand, I hear good things about Milwaukee fuel series. This definitely isn’t going to cut it for an electrician that needs to drill a lot of 2x4s.

Long lasting Tools!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a combo kit on my first father's day 10 years ago. All of the tools still work great. I keep the bag and tools in my truck all the time. I've used them more than the average homeowner and I can say they are holding up great. I replaced the batteries about 2 years ago. Right now I am finishing up my personal work shop (24'X36') and mainly used these tools to build it.

The it is very powerful and keeps it charge.

It’s nice to everything in one set. The drill, impact driver, sawsall is very powerful and the battery last a long time. The flashlight is light weight and easy to use. It can be use in multi positions it will stand up or can be held. It comes with a nice carrying case. I highly recommend the xR 4- Tool set.

Quality tools from a quality brand

I purchased this tool kit as a Christmas gift, and it’s a solid kit for basic home use from a quality tool brand. Wish this kit included the oscillating multi tool as well, and that the Lowe’s site made it easier to compare between the various different kits, but overall very happy with this purchase.

Solid Product, no problems so far.

Outstanding product, feels very solid. Already used on a couple projects building some shelves and a trampoline kit. Only seen light use so far and the reciprocating saw seems to vibrate a lot but it’s got plenty of power and I like that it’s compact.

Great starter kit

Picked up this combo kit from my local Lowe’s store in Hawthorne, CA. It come with one large batter and one small battery. We have some things around our house that required power tools. We have been impressed with the drills and saw. The light is a ok.

Not cheap, but good value.

Super high quality tools. Great that two batteries are included. Also great that this brand is available everywhere. It's a good system to buy in to.
