These are original factory batteries under warranty. When you buy DeWalt products from other outlets, make sure they are authorized DeWalt dealers, like Lowe's, otherwise you will be buying somebody else's return or something used! I have experienced that in the past and I was disappointed in the product, like battery, did not last 10 minutes!

Powerful but Expensive

All my battery powered tools are Dewalt and I need powerful batteries. These 20v 5ah batteries fit that bill. They are on the heavy side so make sure you really need that much power more than a light weight tool. I'll probably go back and buy a few smaller ones for times that a light weight tool will be more important. However, these defiantly were a great buy and exactly what I wanted.
