Work Horse of a drill
This hammer drill is a work course. It drilled through concrete like it was butter. Highly recommend for heavy duty drill work.

Where are the special bits for this Hammer Drill?
I bought this Hammer drill for a some light drilling in concrete. None of my concrete drill bits would work here So I ordered some Dewalt hammer drill bits that also did not work on this drill. So I googled it and apparently the bits for this drill have grooves that slide and lock in as there is no chuck to tighten. BUT, I could not find any of the drill bits needed on this web sight or at the local Lowes store. Confused and frustrated I returned it and ordered one with a chuck. Probably a gr...
did what it was supposed to do.
functioned well to drill through the concrete wall. Did not bog down and completed task quickly. Easy to handle and vibration resistant handle did not cause early forearm fatigue. Would hightly recommend.

Weak, Dissappointing, Returning
Had great hopes this would eat though this thick patio type tile in my older home but it doesn't budge it. Barely even chipped the tile and for sure wasnt going to get it off the floor. The tile pieces are 4x6 and glued directly to the subfloor with 1/2 inch grout lines in a square pattern.

Great product, reasonable price.
This drill does what I would expect from the product. It seems to be well built and durable. Has more than enough power. The only downside I can see is that it is double insulated and therefore would not work with an emergency stop device to halt the drill if a bit hits a water pipe in a foundation for example.

Dewalt shocks system great for productivity
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had and used several rotary hammers over the years from different manufactures, all of which did a good job of drilling holes in concrete. The Dewalt D-Handle SDS+ 1-1/8 Rotary Hammer is a step above all the rest in a couple ways. For general use drilling holes in masonry, it did an excellent job, not unlike many I have used in the past. What sets it above those however is the shocks system. The vibration (or lack thereof) was a night an...

Happy with purchase
I bought this a couple weeks ago. I was building a wood mantel for my natural stone fireplace. I need to secure it and my regular drill felt like it was taking forever. I like to have lots of tools so I bought it. It was so much faster and easier to drill holes to mount the mantel. Seriously like night and day difference. I also bought a variety of attachments as it does more than just drill marvelous holes in rock hard surfaces. Now I am trying to figure out what projects I can do just to use ...

Worth every penny!!!
I have a Dewalt cordless drill with a hammer function, and tried using it to drill one hole in my concrete about 4" deep to put in an anchor for a generator. It took 45 minutes and tore up two bits in the process. Now, I'm adding a 500 sq. foot addition to my house, and I have to drill 40-50 holes into my existing foundation to tie in rebar to the new foundation. So, I decided to do some research and get a new drill meant for this purpose. After researching for about four days, I decided on this...
