Unfortunate product
I literally bleed black and gold. I have more DeWalt products than most hardware stores! Unfortunately, I also own this pile of crap. My 60 gallon air compressor has less than 4 hours of lifetime use on it and it’s been back to them twice for repair. I got it back from them last time, I moved and it sat unhooked for maybe 2 years. I purchased this compressor and did a quite professional job of installation. After all I was planning on years of service in my shop. First clue should have been the instruction manual that never addresses direction of rotation on the motor. Only states to have an electrician make the wire connections. Unbelievably BAD - Catastrophic failure on 2nd day
I bought this compressor on the reputation of DEWALT to be a dedicated air supply to a blast booth. It was installed with care on it's own pad and hard wired. Did the 30 minute break-in with no load as recommended. Ran it for approximately 1.5 hours (off and on) yesterday and everything was fine. Today I went out and switch it on. Outsourced unit, warranty doesn't mean a thing
The manufacture of the tank sanborn seems to have common practices to not reply to emails. My tank is making disturbing cracking noises based on pressure not heat. I called DeWalt they said for warranty I need to speak to the manufacture who actually is Sanborn manufacturing. They said they would send me a replacement. However no longer are they replying to emails and it's been 5 weeks since I heard from them. Looking at their Google reviews seems common practice. So my question is to you DeWalt...

I have had this compressor for 2 years. Only have about 20 hours on it. Motor quit, replaced the 2 start capacitors. Turned it on, it ran for about 2 minutes and the pump quit then the motor blew. I am not impressed with this product. I have used a number of compressors as a mechanic. I use this one at home so not any heavy use.

At first attempt of using this compressor the shutoff did not work, pop off kept activating and compressor would continue to run. After getting that fixed I may have used this compressor 15-20 times within the last 14 months and the MAT Industries electric motor blew sparks all over my shop and shut down. Warranty is out so up to me to pay for what is basically a brand new machine

Bad Capacitor
I was able to fill up one bike tire before this unit failed and would no longer run again. Unit came with a bad start capacitor and I had to jump hoops to get it replaced on my own time.
