Kit was cheaper than the bare tool

The chuck on my corded Ridgid multi tool went out and it is now discontinued. I already have Dewalt tools so I decided to replace it with this cordless oscillating saw. I originally was going to purchase the bare tool because I already had batteries and didn’t need the bag. This kit was on sale so it was actually cheaper. I always assumed these were a rough-work tool, one notch better than a Sawzall. But once I started using them, it became clear they offer some unique advantages for a number of jobs. Pricing Scam

Many retailers falsely advertise "you save $...." in combination with a crossed out "original price", with a false "ends" date in which you can buy the product at the sale price. Lowe's is no different. When I purchased this, the "end" date for the $99 price was January 7th, now it is at April 29. How convenient. Also, pay close attention to the model number when purchasing. Not all XR 20-volt Max are the same The product is fine, I just don't appreciate this type of predatory marketing.

I finaley cut the cord!

I'v had a Rockwell multi-tool for years that works fantastically well, but it's corded and I'm constantly dragging out a 25 or 50 foot extension cord to use it. I like the features of this Dewalt: it has the same power as the Rockwell and the ballance is pretty good despite the weight of the battery. I'm not crazy about the variable speed trigger, as that is just one more thing you have to juggle when trying to concentrate on the cutting line, but it is what it is.

I only used once and battery or charger don't work

I keep all the batteries I have charged every month or so so they don't die. I used this item 1 time when I tried to charge the battery after. it wldnt charge any no lights or anything on charger. so I don't which isn't working the battery or the charger. bc I don't own any other DeWalt tools. so I wld stear clear. the battery that comes with it is horrible.

Great tool at a great deal

Had traveled to my daughter’s from out of state and didn’t bring my oscillating tool. Looked to see what I could pick one up for. Surprised to see a special on the DeWalt 20v w/ battery. Always like getting an extra battery. Ordered online and pick it up the next day in store. Great tool performed just as expected, and a great deal from Lowe’s & DeWalt.
