The downside of 25' tapes is their weight, and this tape does not solve this issue. I was asked to review the Crescent Lufkin 25’ tape measure. This was great timing for me as I recently broke two of my other tape measures this month. One dropped onto the ground from about 12 feet up and broke into pieces and the other had the tape crack on me at the end. Looks Great. Could use some improvements.

Durability Plus Plus

When I received the Shockforce 25' Tape Measure, I could immediately sense the durability by its' weight and construction. But once I assessed its' features, I was thoroughly impressed. Kind of obsessed with this thing

Let me start by saying that i have a very nice tape measure by a yellow and black company that cost me over 20 dollars. This for a small amount more is superior in every way to it. The body has a very grippy, pleasant to hold rubber over mold. It reminds me of the rubber thats on most of my green, 18v power tools. Wow! Heavy duty redefined.

I thought I had some jobsite tape measures but they look like toys compared to this Crescent/Lufkin. Besides the rugged construction, this tape has some really great features. The double sided blade and end hook are going to make marking locations on boards much easier. I really didn’t think something as simple as a tape measure could be reengineered and made this much better. It was fun discovering all the things it can do. Overall this is a great tape measure, it has some weight to it and feels of solid quality. It also has great design features that you didn't know you wanted/needed until you have them. Heavy Duty Tape Measure

This tape measure is heavy, but in a way that you know it is designed to withstand falls and impacts. This is a GREAT tape!

A little background, my current tape is a 20+ year old Stanley 25’ tape that I’ve replace the tape once. This is like going from incandescent light to LED lights. First, the end hook has a diamond coating that really helps it to grip. I thought it was just a sales thing but it really does help a lot.
