Absolutely terrible experience with the Cosmo 36” electric cooktop. Purchased it only a year and a half ago and the dual burner function already stopped working because the knob mechanism is defective and won’t stay functional. For a product this expensive, that’s completely unacceptable. When I contacted Cosmo customer service about the warranty, they basically offered useless “support” by only covering the replacement parts — NOT the labor. I purchased this brand because I needed a specific size to fit the countertop of my early 70's era house and I was unable to find that size in a more notable brand. It's attractive and I loved it....for 2 months. Then is blew out a rear burner. I called the company and sent all the proof of purchase paperwork. They agreed to send me the replacement parts BUT I have to have them installed myself and apparently only authorized service companies can do that. Right now I'm trying to find someon...

Replaced countertops so replaced cooktop too. So happy we did. Looks great and easy to use with touch pad controls. Heats up fast and has reminder that cooktop is still hot. Love it.

I upgraded from my old coil burner 30-inch to this beautiful 36-inch glass top cooktop. I installed it myself, was quite easy. I can't wait to start cooking on it, but it really upgraded my kitchen. I love it.

Do not buy
Cooktop has failed after 7 months. The big dual eye will not come all the way on. Cosmo will only send a part and I have to install. If that doesn’t work I have to get someone else to service it. Now the larger eye in the back is doing the same thing. Hard to cook with only one half of eye working. I do not recommend it. I should not have this much trouble after only 7 months.
