Good, Strong, Well-Made Product

This was one of the easiest pieces to put together I have ever done. Great instructions, all the pieces were there, and everything fit together correctly. The only thing I did not like was that the nails fastening the backing to the shelves were too large. I found them to be hard to work with and ended up having to glue pieces of particle board back because I had accidentally placed the nail at an angle instead of straight in. This shelving unit is the exact color I was looking for and I couldn’t find it in stock anywhere else so I ordered it and when it finally came, long story on that, it had an extra interior shelf and no top shelf, so a few home drilled holes and covering up others it is up and works but definitely not top quality stuff. Should have paid attention to the bad reviews

With four stars and 83% recommendation I thought the bad reviews must be errors in assembly. I've built every piece of furniture in my rec room so I was confident in buying the storage cube. Unfortunately all of the bad reviews were accurate. Misaligned screw holes, pegs too big for the board size which splintered the surfaces, and even with two people carefully turning the piece as in the directions, the weak framework shifted and splintered in several places. Is it worth it?

Shelves were too short, different pieces weren't labeled so you had to figure out which pieces were the same. I deliberately chose a cheaper option so I wouldn't feel bad about throwing it away in a year when I have to move, but again -- the shelves aren't tall enough for 3 ring binders. I definitely wouldn't have purchased if i had known this. But it was easy to put together but took way too long, and now I have to hammer in 60 nails after 10pm. Nope. A good product for the price

I bought three of these to go across a wall in my room. They are solid for the price. Out of all the screws that I put into these one did split the piece of wood it went into, but splintered off so the damage wasn't terrible. They came with screw inserts to cover the contrasting silver screws, but they didn't seem to want to fit very well so I used a black sharpie to fill in the screws and it blended them pretty well with the wood. It is only $40 so you get what you pay for. The wrong directions came with mine. I bought a 9 cube but the 6 cube version directions came with it. So we figured out the pattern of build and just kept going with it and it worked out. Luckily they sent enough hardware for the 9 cube even though they sent the 6 cube directions. Quality matches the price

It’s definitely cheap plywood. As I assembled the cubes, I noticed they weren’t aligned. Some parts of the shelf projected farther out than others. I thought assembly was easy, but if you don’t firmly push shelving together, you’ll see gaps. I tried to fix the gaps and it was impossible. The white nail ‘covers’ (so you don’t see the silver end of the nails) are cheap coverings that need to be hammered in, but will fall out if ever taken out - so this shelf is definitely not reassemble-friendly. ...

Mislabeled parts, but still easy to assemble

Purchased 2 of these yesterday, and both boxes contained the expected "A" and "D" pieces, but none of the expected "B" pieces. Instead, there were 4 "C" pieces. There should have been 2 of each. However, there were 2 of each, determined by the predrilled holes in them. So as long as you match the holes up with the pictures and ignore the 4 "C" pieces, this assembles very easy. Disappointed at the end

Product directions for assembly easy to follow and understand. When it came time to nail on the cardboard paper backings on five of the cubes, the nails easily popped through and broke the particle board and laminate finish in six places.
