I bought this to use as a side fire box for my Char-Griller 5050. I read a ton of reviews and watched a lot of youtube videos about doing this so I knew what I was getting my self into. Make sure to take your time to season the inside with your oil of choice and do a test burn and you shouldn't have any problems with rust. Upped my Grilling Game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Added this fire box to my existing Char Griller and just smoked meat for the first time - 3 racks of rib. They turned out near perfect, and having learned now how to control the temperature I'll try a brisket next. Very pleased with this purchase and with the brand!

Great compact grill!

Great value for size as attachment

Great value when adding to the Wrangler grill. Added heat and grilling options by having this attachment is very nice. The overall size of this attachment is ideal for the Wrangler grill both units combined as I don't have a lot of space to safely grill or Winter storage for any larger units. I'm not sure that I will use this unit separate from the Wrangler grill as the features list suggest for it is a bit heavier and size slight large for "carrying to the beach" without a small picnic cart...

Buyer Beware

From the time we put the smoke box on as an addition to the larger smoker it was shaky. The tray never closed or fit right and my 95 year old father in law called it flimsy looking. Boy was he right. Really enjoying this product

I bought this to attach to my I think its called a traditional char griller grill its a 36" cook chamber with 2 side shelves. At first i was pretty disappointed that one side shelf would have to be removed to mount and open this fire box. However i removed the bottom bolts to the side shelf and loosened off the top bolts and the shelf is easily/quickly connected or disconnected as I transition from traditional grilling to smoking. Becareful using this sidebox. Coating may come off

I added this sidebox after I purchased the origional grill. It was easy to install and works well enough. Issues with grill: -The very first time I added a small amount of charcoal to smoke some ribs. The paint directly above the coals decided to literally smoke off. It bubbled up and fell off. I was able to paint it with the correct temperature black paint. But, I did not expect it to do that. -Also, be aware it leaks smoke and the vents are loosely sealed. Temperature control is an issue. Good idea, not so good on execution

I like how easy it was to add it to my existing Char-Griller (hint: the box it comes in is the perfect height to support the smoker while securing to the grill if you don't have anyone to help). But I have a few issues: 1) the grill grates height is not adjustable, 2) the grate height is too low to allow for sufficient coals for more than 2 hours or enough heat to get smoke temp in grill consistently at 250-275 degF, unless you remove the grates but then you can't use the smoker for additional...
