As long as you prepare your old deck correctly and apply two coats of DeckCorrect you will have excellent results like I did. I spent the time removing all previous paints and brushed on one coat of DeckCorrect and rolled on the second coat of DeckCorrect. I also allowed it one week to fully cure before I put anything on it.

shade doesn't always match previous gallon
I have bought this several times and it works well but the redwood shade in one gallon doesn't always match that of the previous gallon

Old deck renewal
My deck was over 10 years old and it had not been very well taken care of. This stuff is thick as peanut butter and it takes a while to apply. But it’s been over a month and so far it has been great.

Had no paint was just the white base!
Ordered 2 5 gallon buckets of deck paint to get 2 5 gallon bucks of white base and no paint. We live far, Lowes says a week to pick up and then wait for a refund. This is terrible never purchasing anything large like this from them again

Deck correct is a life saver
I recently moved into a house that's a bit of a fixer upper... having limited funds, I've had to make concessions on what can be fixed right away, and what I can simply do upkeep on. My deck is in rough shape, the last owner having not treated the wood properly, so I bought deck correct... it works better than I could have possibly imagined. All the wear and tear from the rough winter we had didn't affect the stain at all. The boards are holding up better than ever I am so pleased

Doesn't last
We bought this product for our front porch and back deck May 31, 2025. We followed all of the instructions to apply this. It seems to be holding up on our front porch (which is covered) but as of April 4, 2026, it's already peeling on the back deck. This was a lot of work, and we put in a lot of effort to make sure we followed the instructions so it's really disappointing to have it peeling in less than a year.
