[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I think this is a great product. The soft close drawers are a nice touch. All the drawers and the top come with a mat so thinks don’t slide as much when opening and closing. Plus makes the top look nicer if you don’t have the upper unit. The only down side I have with it is the way the screws mount. Sheet metal screws into the bottom. If you’re not moving the box a lot they should be fine. I just don’t know how they’d hold up to moving ...

Inspect well
tldr: it's fine if you get a perfect one but inspect for defects. I'm disappointed with this box and with Craftsman. I took it home and unboxed it inside my work van. Everything was included and worked so I mounted it. The next morning in the bright morning light I open the van and see all kinds of dings and spots that are clearly manufacturing defects. There's at least a dozen and I'm finding new ones every time I look at the thing. I wouldn't have paid this much if it wasn't going to be perfe...

It dose the job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple years ago for work (aerospace manufacturing) it has held up great! The only downsides I can find is sometimes the soft close drawer slides don’t fully close the drawer and the biggest thing is the wheels aren’t as sturdy as I’d like. Theres a lot of wobble to the chest when you have it loaded up.

I recently went to two Lowe's stores relatively close to one another to see what tool chests were in stock. Every Craftsman product I looked at was damaged in some form or fashion (I looked at 5 units) -- even those still boxed and in top stock. Great value top box
The soft close drawers are too slow to close and you can not force them to close faster. That aside - the size is perfect for my needs. I had an older small Snap-On bottom box i wanted a top for - and the Harbor Freight options were too big to fit. This one fits perfectly on it. (Over top of the edges with boards beneath it to level it off.) Color is a near exact match too. I paid $251 + tax on sale for it as it was a "damaged" item - aka Dented Special.
