I wanted to like it.

I really wanted to like it but there is no easy start on this one… I tried it out and I am gonna have to return it sadly. It cuts great once it gets going… awesome there.. but man it is like trying to get a compliment from mother-in-law to get this thing started. I pulled and pulled, followed all instructions and it was really frustrating. Made for a hard day to use a tool quick. Maybe mine was a lemon. Sadly I would not recommend based on my experience.

Poor Customer Service

I had gone to Lowe’s specifically for this saw because I saw that it had been on sale. We are very loyal/frequent customers at Lowe’s and so after we had grabbed it and headed up to the register we noticed that it was not showing the sales pricing. We asked for assistance from the employee to price match it directly from the app and they claimed the promotional pricing was online only even though that was not indicated anywhere on the app page. Bought a chainsaw that doesn't work

Opened it out the box it would not stay on tried to return it was told they dont take back chainsaws that had gas already put on it to call the manufacture i called and i have to drive 45 min drive to take an item that it brand new to get fixed at that the place closes by 5pm i wont make it in time to drop off to get fixed so im screwed out of my money

Great Saw for the price

I needed a saw in a pinch. I didn't want to spend $500 on a saw that would only occasionally use. This was online at a special offer. I picked it up and went to work with it. It has been doing a great job sawing an oak that fell in a storm. I am pleased with the product. No complaints a week after purchase.

Air filter BAD - Saw not too bad

TLDR - saw works well - but the filter is awful and dirt goes straight into the carburetor. If you’re willing to do the maintenance you can get a decent saw for roughly half the price of other 20” bar saws sold at Lowe’s or competitors. I really want to like this saw. It took down 2 pine trees roughly 24” at the base and one smaller oak tree. The power is sufficient and the chain out of the box is decent enough. Dead Chainsaw/Ethical Considerations

I experienced the same issues the other negative reviews have already explained about the chainsaw not staying on and eventually not working from day one. I was not worried though because it was a Lowe's purchase and I tend to either buy Kobalt or Craftsman specifically because of Lowe's reputation for customer service. Craftsman Chain Saw

I have bought 03 of these chain saws and they work great except each one leaks the bar oil out of the bottom. You have to store the saw placing it on it's side so as not to make a mess and loose the bar oil.

I Expected Better From Craftsman

I have never owned a power tool that would simply fall apart from normal use until I got this saw. The first time I used it the screws holding the teeth at the base of the bar were loose. While disappointing, it was an easy fix. I tightened them and they have stayed on. Recently the pull cord jammed. When I went to open the side case to see why, 2 of the case screws were missing.
