been buying craftsman yard equipment years! had a 20 year old weed eater made by craftsman that never quit! I assumed this item would be good after reading the reviews. today is 6/2/24. Purchased 3/21/24. 1st: Good luck registering your purchase. Not through Lowe's, but through MTD. Still no luck online. I will keep trying to call the phone on the email received apologizing for the inconvenience. 2nd: I have used it about 5/6 times. Now it wants to stop (like out of gas) while trimming. Light duty use only

To start with, the pin that holds the shaft broke and fell off so I had to rivet it back on. Used for one season and it blew up on me in the middle of trimming my yard. Ran proper amount of string, used exact 50:1 ratio fuel at all times, and I was working in the shade on a semi cool day so no chance it overheated. I took the spark plug out and the piston is loosely moving up and down so its broke. Would not recommend unless you sre doing extremely light duty work around a well manicured lawn.

Two craftsman trimmers = two returns

So I purchased a new craftsman trimmer in May 2022. Liked how it was light and seemed to have enough power to do what I needed. Not as strong as my Husqvarna but that was to be expected, it cost $100 less. Returned that trimmer back to Lowes in June. Warranty Repair Runaround

I live in a very populous suburb of Atlanta. I bought my 27cc Craftsmen in March of 2022. I've only used the 50:1 TruFuel gasoline, per the specs. The Weed Trimmer suffered a catastrophic engine failure, as metal parts fell out (see photo), after it seized up. Head flew apart

This is the third time I've used this trimmer, the first two times the unit performed flawlessly, however on the third time started to trim , felt a weird vibration after about three minutes and the head flew to pieces, after about 30 mins. Bought this weed trimmer because of past experience with quality Craftsman products. Liked the concept of being able to change to have the use of different attachments with one powerhead and was looking forward to using on my 5 acres. The powerhead seems to work well and cranks fine.
