CRAFTSMAN Gas Trimmer Blower Edger Combo

Complete waste of money

Bought this last year and used it twice… went to use it this season and it had no power in the blade and would stop on a clump of grass… had the guy out that works on my lawnmowers and he took off the cover and it had plastic shards of what was left of the mechanism… Lowe’s wouldn’t take it back because it was out of whatever window they have… don’t buy, you will end up extremely frustrated and out $300.

Faulty construction

I bought this edger less than 3 years ago and used it perhaps 50 hours. While using it recently the engine simply fell off the frame. All 3 bolts holding the engine in place had fractured within the motor housing. Craftsman says I Am out of warranty and can do nothing. NEVER buy this product.

No Spark

This is the worst Craftsman product I have ever owned. I bought it on sale before the mowing season, and it sat in my garage past the 30-day warranty window from Lowe's. I carefully followed the directions and could never get it to start or even fire over once. Lowe's denied the return because it had passed the 30-day period. lasted one day

Really I have never seen craftsmanship this bad. No No No No. It is too hot to try and figure this on out. No No No. At first I was really this is a lot easier than the one wheeled edger. I really like this. This is going to make my job a lot easier then it hit a rock and bam nothing. No No No.

Works Great!!

This is a very light weight unit, it is easy to maneuver. It uses an engine that behaves like a string trimmer, you have full throttle control. That is a feature I have never seen in a walk behind edger. It starts right up. The start-up is also like a gas trimmer, primer pump and a couple easy pulls and it's running and willing. Walk behind lawn edger craftsman.

It was horrible. I used the edger for 10 minutes and it seized up. Followed all directions. Took edger back to Lowe’s and they said it was only returnable within 30 days. I then told them that I bought the maintenance warranty offered by Lowe’s and they stated that it did not apply. The warranty would cover what craftsman would not cover. I just wanted a new edger. Please Purchase at Your Own Peril

I normally do not leave reviews, but am considerably frustrated with this purchase and waste of our money almost 1 year in. Whether it is the pitiful blade, or an underpowered 30CC engine (probably worried about selling this to eco-restricted Cali folks) or a combination thereof. Junk, Plain and Simple

Sad to see my old 3.5hp troybuilt edger go. Had to buy this piece of garbage. Hard to start, feels cheaper, insufficient power, and very cheap and unstable wheel base. Does a lousy job because the rpm and power are so low/weak. After 3 months of use late last year, it started putting out blue smoke when all else was normal, but still did a garbage job. Threw it away, got an Ego straight handle edger and it is a much better product. This craftsman is junk. Dont even wastes the time.

No Real warranty

My Craftsman edger is 23 months old, has been properly stored, and the fuel line and Primer failed so I tried to get it repaired under warranty only to find out that all of those type claims are always fuel related and never covered. It also would seem than none of Craftsman's repair network will do warranty repairs for them locally where I am, so unless you purchase the Lowes warranty don't expect to receive any support for the manufacturer.

Do not buy this

A very regrettable purchase. I wish I would have read the reviews first, but typically I trust Lowe’s to carry quality products. I’ve used it 3 times thus far and it’s been an absolute struggle to get started (has taken about a half an hour each time). After reading many reviews of several websites, this seems like an extremely common issue. I’m shocked Lowe’s continues to carry this. Once it’s started, it does the job, but is extremely mediocre and cheap feeling for the price point.
