What Customers Are Saying
The product offers a mixed performance, with some customers reporting it as lightweight, easy to start, and powerful for light-duty tasks, while others experienced issues with starting, running, and maintaining the saw. The quality and durability may not be sufficient for more demanding applications, though regular maintenance can help improve its performance. The product provides good value, but customer service support appears inconsistent when addressing warranty-related problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to test and I was very impressed. The saw was easy to get started all you need is the chain oil the unit comes ready to use. I saw the 42 cc motor and thought it was large for a 14 inch chain saw but it is very powerful. The unit has a great environmental rating which I was impressed with. About average for sound for the size motor. I liked the easy tool that was provided to tighten the chain. The unit came with a can of premix...

LEAKS OIL
My first chainsaw....I purchased this chainsaw to cut down a dozen or so 3" - 5" "Trees of heaven" that continue to grow over my leach fields. This thing has leaked oil since day one. At first I thought it was just oil from the bar and the sawdust however, I stored it in my basement until next use and it had leaked oil all over the floor. I moved it to my outdoor storage building and sat it on a heavy plastic bag. I now have a 24" diameter of saturated oil on the floor of my outbuilding.I have u...
EXCELLENT Saw
I have a 60cc ECHO and 55cc Husqvarna (both 20" bar & chain) and both weigh around 20lbs. I Bought this saw to do lighter limb and brush cutting and I must say I am VERY pleased with its performance! Right out of box, I put in some 40:1 fuel mix, added some chain oil and she fired right up. Then decided to give it a test on a very large 3 ft. high stump I was planning to cut up and remove, so I lit into it and wow - was I surprised! Due to the size of the bar (14") I cut the stump from the top d...
My first chain saw is so impressive and amazing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first house last winter and bought my first chain saw this month. When I buy a product, I thoroughly read reviews, compare prices, and spend a lot of time looking for the best product for me. I'm that picky about the product. I did the research for a month to buy this, and I bought the best one. First of all, after opening the box, all I had to do was put in pre-mix fuel and chain oil. Unfortunately, instead of chain oil, there was ...

SweepstakesBest buck twenty I ever spent!
I woke up to a tree across my driveway and two of our three vehicles on the wrong side of it. I also had two chainsaws in the garage that wouldn't start. Bought the 14" Craftsman almost entirely for the price. I got much more than my money's worth! It started almost instantly and made quick work of the 10" oak across my drive. I found it to have adequate power for the size of the bar. It idled quietly all morning and didn't quit until I shut it off. I found myself having fun and cut several othe...
Stars for Lowes not Chainsaw
I purchased this Craftsman 14 inch chainsaw and it worked once for about an hour. Then it had an irratic idle, shut off, and never started back up. Lowes allowed me to get a full refund for it no questions asked. So the 5 stars are for LOWES, 1 STAR for the chainsaw. If you do purchase this chainsaw, I hope you know your way around troubleshooting small engines
Tough Little SOB
It’s a small chainsaw so obviously it’s not going to chop down gigantic oak trees in your yard but if you know how to operate one and you’re careful and keep the maintenance up on this one. It gets the job done for your typical outdoor needs I have roughly 3 acres of overgrown land and I have knocked down close to 30 trees with no issues some quiet a bit larger in diameter than recommended but that goes back to the know how. This saw is excellent for anyone needing to get rid of pesky in the way...

Good for light home jobs
1. It comes with 2-cycle oil so don't get that. 2. You WILL need to pick up chain and bar oil. 3. Buy a 5/32 chain file. I thought the chain started to get dull after and hour of use. 3. Has plenty of power and is lightweight. 4. Useful for pruning and small firewood. 5. Price point can't be beat. 6. Started right up on first try. I just hope it stays that way. I've never had good luck with 2-cycle engine carbs. I had been using a cheap electric until the switch got stuck in the ON position and...
High performance chainsaw within a budget price
Use caution with some reviews out here stating you can add Oregon 16-18” bar and chains to cut up large trees. From real usage, this saw only allows the 14” bar and chain size. The chain tensioner pin only fits the 14” insert on the bar, with absolutely no option to increase bar size. Overall, I enjoyed this little chainsaw. It has a great motor, that actually fires up better than my Stihl. I got a lot of small branches and medium size cuts complete up until about 6 hours of usage. Within 5 h...
not a durable nor productive saw
I used the saw to clear approximately 1 acre of desert shrubbery, and the saw is problematic in that the chain can not be made to stay adjusted tight. Only a brief episode of cutting requires readjustment and tightening of the chain - I replaced the bar and several chains and cleaned the clamp area and the chain tension issue persists. Further, the air intake filter and cover broke and fell off. The muffler vibrated loose and fell off. Too much time is wasted with repairing and adjusting the sa...
