Hard to find a good tape measure these days!

I was a Milwaukee fanatic for about 8 years until they changed the design of their 25’ tape measures and I had four break in less than six months, all of which broke at 3-1/2” to 4-1/2” inches. I decided to try the craftsman tape and boy was I surprised! I bought a 16’ to begin with and actually still have it at almost a year old although it is just about to fall apart. Broke after about a year

Worked fine until I left it outside one night and it rained and this must have destroyed it Obviously the tape was fully retracted but the end sheered off this morning... I can see that the end is all rusted So no I dont recommend it - its clearly not waterpoof. If it goes near water you clearly have to dry it off completely Will search again for a new tape that is durable

Defective tape measure

Unfortunately, I am beyond the return period. I will just discard this tape measure. The lock on this tap measure does not work. I lock the tape to measure and all by itself it decides to retract with force. I got hit on my finger multiple times. I am giving up and throwing this away.

Great measuring tape

This measuring tape is very convenient fore me as a sheet metal fabricator. I use it on the shear ,is easy to read, retracs very smoothly. I also use it as a mallet to straighten some edges of sheet metal since us heavy and well protected with rubber and does not damages the sheet metal

One major improvement needed.

Very visible lines, easy to read, affordable since my line of work requires me to go through many of this a year, the big downside, metal clip, it bends like a piece of wire, not like other tapes, that is made of a different type of metal that will break before it really bends, you have to constantly bend it back when you miss your pocket or belt.

Easily glides in and out and numbers are clear

Easy to use and durable. Use daily to measure garage door openings as well as door sizes and have not had any issues. Easily glides in and out and measurements are easy to see. I keep one in each of my work trucks and my employees always have one handy on the job.

Craftsman tape measure

Great craftsmanship as stated in the name. Easy to read the numbers and the rubberized exterior make this item user friendly and easy to manage. The tape is not flimsy and if measuring a long distance the tape for about 16’ will stay straight. Glad I made this purchase.

Good tape measure. I have used it in the sand and dropped it from a 10ft ladder. Still works. Numbers are big and easily to read For the price its a solid investment. I use this a lot at work in industrial environment so I really put it through to test.

It's a handy little tool. A must buy!

I had a Stanley Black and Decker tape measure and I finally managed to break it. As I'm building my Craftsman collection, I wanted to add this one. It has a smooth grip and snaps back with quality. It is not flimsy or cheaply made.

Easy to read.

Liked that the numbers and lines are easily read. It is easy to pull the tape out. I also liked how it doesn't bend when i am using it at a 15 foot distance.
