Gets the job done!

We choose this model of digging shovels and we were not disappointed! The shovel has a good grip for that hard to tap soil and a sharp edge to cut through the soil with not too much effort. Great multi-use shovel

Great shovel. Very sturdy and has a nice midsized blade that really works for a lot of different functions. We have been using it to transplant shrubs and dig out grass. It's great at digging a hole and has a wide enough blade that it's good to move soil.

This shower has great spots to step on to dig into the ground harder. Cushion handle to support your hands and keep them from getting blistered of slivers. I am a female in construction.

I compared this shovel to many others before purchasing. I chose this one mainly for its weight. It wasn’t heavy like the others and the circumference of the handle fit well in my hands. I used it to shovel dirt and sand in my garden. Despite its lighter weight I find it to be durable.

Great, high quality shovel

Purchased this shovel for some landscaping projects in my backyard, and chose it over one with a wooden handle hoping it would do a better job holding up to the elements and would be easier to clean. So far it's been incredibly durable and does a great job, even in thick, hard clay. The added leverage "steps" just above the trowel make it easy to get into the ground. Also isn't too heavy, which is a plus for moving it around while working in multiple places.

Weak Tool

The steel shovel blade is too thin and flexes under moderate loads. My old Craftsman shovel blade had double the thickness and never flexed, but the fiberglass handle eventually failed. My expectations were low, yet this shovel failed to meet them.

Craftsman Quality Has Left The Building

Purchased this shovel for digging up some lillies and hostas in soft soil after reading all the (fake?) positive reviews. Fortunately, it did what I needed but for how long, is the question. The handle seems up to the task but the shovel blade is the weak link, it twists and turns every time I put my foot into it, I do not expect it to last long given the deflection when digging. weak neck

I own a construction company and buy shovels and brooms on a regular basis. I decide to purchase 6 craftsman shovel for the crew. the first day we discovered when you place your foot on the shovel the neck bends away from the handle making it hard to dig with any force. They are maybe only good for a home owner but we will never purchase this brand again. Pour construction and weak metal necks

Garbage

This thing is garbage. Not even close to medium duty. I have no idea how this thing gets five-star reviews. I was using it to dig out a medium-sized bush. The spade folded over at the collar like it was made of aluminum. Seriously, I have never seen a shovel do that. Sure, a handle may break over time, but for the "tempered steel" to fold over like that...crazy. Complete trash.
