this excellent tool has been in use for a few years. It has stood up to everything I've put it through. Plunge base is a great addition for mortise and juice groove work. Fixed base is great for edge trimming and adding a decorative edge. Simply, I reach for it more often than my 2 ¼ or 3¼ hp units.

Well made unit
Was initially unsure how well this would handle for the projects being given to it. It has worked extremely well. I have read about the dislike of the light not being wired with the switch and agree. Having the light on every time the unit is plugged in and not running does not make sense. But the operation is very good. Adjustments are good once you take the time to familiarize yourself with the tool; as you should do with every new tool. I am very satisfied with this router.

I have been buying Bosch tools for 20+yrs, I researched this router it got good reviews. I build custom guitars, ukuleles & furniture. This router kit is nice because it has both plunge & fixed bases, The first thing I noticed is the led light, it’s a nice feature however I don’t like that the light comes on as soon as you plug the router in?? I don’t understand why it’s not wired to the power switch? The plunge base is a bit tough to get used to it’s not very smooth. The fixed base is nice & ha...

This router is a Hoss
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I immediately put this router to work in plunge mode then switched to the smaller router mode. You can't stop it...it's a workhorse. So easy to change over from plunger to regular router. I am really happy I stepped up to this Bosch machine, and I plan on replacing my other power tools as they die off with Bosch.

Detail Router

Only thing I wish it had was a handle. Reason being it gets a little warm. If it had a handle to dissipate the heat I would have given it a five satar rating.

Has nearly replaced my 3hp router!

Upgrade from the 1hp
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Didn’t think the 1/4 hp was going to make a deference but it did. I like the case so everything fits in one place. I will say that When I had the previous version I got the plunge attachment and I had to sand the inside of it to get it to fit properly. This was disappointing and not what I expected from Bosch.
