I was very skeptical about purchasing a laser measuring device. At the time of writing this review, I've been using it for approximately 5-6 months. “ERROR”

Bought this thinking it would be a great replacement for the cheap laser my company issued me. Boy was I wrong. If the laser was dead straight against a surface I would get an error every time I shot a distance. If I was measuring against something glossy like tile or glossy wall paint I would get an error. Doesn't' work well for commercial spaces

It works okay, I bought this in a bind and should have known for the cost it wasn't going to be great. I measure office spaces and warehouse spaces for my job and it struggles to get measurements. You have to hold it there for a few seconds after taking the measurement or it errors out or gives a very inaccurate measurement. It also has a hard time determining measurements over 50ft. I end up having to retake it several times to get what I hope is an accurate measurement. It has a full battery...

Cannot set readout accuracy; errors

This unit, and all of the current Bosch laser measures, will only read out in 1/32" accuracy. There is no way to set them to read out in 1/16 accuracy (or any other unit of accuracy). I verified this with Bosch technical support. This is disappointing, and even a bit deceptive, since their published specifications for the unit say it has an accuracy of +/- 1/16" -- you would think the unit could be set to the accuracy units used in the published specifications. Great addition to my toolbox

This is a great tool that I've used multiple times when measuring for flooring, cabinets, square footage, etc. It's so simple to use, i let my wife use it and she prefers it over a tape measure. Actually, i prefer she use it over a tape measure because well, i'll just say her measurements are usually only off by about 3-5 feet. LOL. Old model, new price

I never opened the package. Once I bought it, I found out that it was an old model of the Bosch laser measurement devices. More recent models had longer ranges and more capabilities. That would have been OK if the price reflected that it was old technology. Check out the Bosch website to make sure you are getting the most capacity for the tasks you are wanting to accomplish. Great Product

I am an Insurance Claims Adjuster and this thing is very reliable and the batteries last a long time. I have been using it off and on for almost 2 months now and it is still on the batteries that came in the box. I have dropped it and have gotten it very dirty. I just wipe it off and it fires right back up.

Very good tool

I am not a trade person, I bought this BOSCH GLM 30 just for my home small projects. I found it is very handy and accuracy tool, but I found 2 minor issues if BOSCH can improve on it. 1. the fraction part when measure in inch is little bit small, sometime is hard to read. 2. the housing design of the GLM 30 has a hole for wrist strap for carry, but the strap is not include inside the box. I need spend time search a wrist strap somewhere else. Other than these, it is a perfect hi tech tools.

Handy tool.

The good: No pulling a tape while holding a pad to take measurement. Easy to use. Appears to be accurate enough for room measurements for cabinets. The not so good: Display cuts off too soon. This may be because I am still not used to using it properly. Also somewhat awkward when trying to use one hand to operate. Overall, a good tool for the money and I have always had good exp. with Bosch.

Display needs improvement

Only ok - disappointed for the Bosch brand and price. Display is hard to read in all light conditions. Text height is too small, especially the fractional part. In inch mode, need to be able to set precision (don’t often need 1/32” resolution and would like to display rounded to nearest 1/8 or 1/4!). Only recalls up to 3 measurements.
