Difficult to set up.

I had purchased this laser to install a wainscoting on a job. There were 3 different brands to choose from at the store, so I chose this one based on previous products from the Bosch company and that it came with its own mount. Easy to use but limited

I received this laser to test out in exchange for this review. I own a construction company, and employ 4 people. We have used similar lasers over the last 10 years, and still own several. We currently have the Dewalt DW084k, 2 Bosch GPL-5, and also a tiny Ryobi Tek4 4v. Good Product

Good product. Checked the auto level with a 4' level and it was right on. The clamp that comes with it works great and can easily attach to a nearby surface without coming loose. 2x4, door, doorjam, pipe, you name it... A lot of reviews mention the light flashing on and off which occurs when you try to angle the device. It's a built in feature meant to alert you. Works... Temporarily

Worked great at the start. But now the laser will not stop blinking (even with fresh batteries and a completely level surface), and the plastic on the bottom of the unit started chipping away after removing it from a tripod. Pretty poor experience overall with a product I was excited for.

Best for the Price

Needed a good level for hanging wall tiles in a bathroom. I had an older level that was manual leveling, had to turn screws to set two cross bubbles to get it level. It was only as accurate as how level I could set it. I bought this one and it was the lowest price one that was self-leveling. Does not level at any angle

I purchased this item to be able to have a level line at all heights/ angles. I put it on a table and leveled fine. Then put it on a tripod, flashed the entire time (not level). Put it on a ladder step and fine. I needed to have a line that was higher than table height, 34 inches down from 11 foot ceiling in garage. Sucks. Bad. Never stops flashing.

…ever stops. I have new batteries and a 4 point level… on the level. Blinking. The switch is hard enough to twist or move it too. Never stops blinking. Ever. ps: I tried uploading pics but errors occurred via camera and picture file. Shocker.

Disappointing

First of all I apologize for not getting this posted sooner. I have been finding new ways to try and use the GLL 30 to change my initial opinion. So far I have not been able to succeed. Complete Waste of Tool - Does not level

This product never did what it was advertised to do. It's as useful as a little cat laser beam. The laser lines are straight but endlessly blink and never adjust to level. The only way I've ever got it level was to hold a traditional level up to the laser line and adjust the tool as necessary. I have had this tool well past the return window and didn't use it right when I bought it. Bosch should address this issue and refund those with the exact same problem. Professional grade, Yet frustrating.

I borrowed this laser level from a contractor to line up my first row of tile in a bathroom. I will say it worked great to tape it to the tub and get a line on the floor or tile and the far wall. (People say to "snap a chalk line on the floor" but logically that makes ZERO sense when the chalk line gets covered with thin-set and tile!)
