Best bang for your buck!

Great budget laser for indoor projects. I bought this one for my workers to use since they tend to destroy tools. I love the fact that it also has plumb laser dots as well as the cross lines. I checked the accuracy at 40ft away with a water level and it was spot on. It comes with a soft case that only fits the laser itself. I would’ve paid more for a hard case but it would’ve been nice if the soft case at lease fit everything in it. For that reason I deducted one star. But don’t let that sway y...

Bosch 40' Red Self Leveling Laser

I purchased this on sale and it included the Bosch tripod. The laser is easy to set up as it incorporates a bubble level which helps you get it level when on a tripod and the 2nd level on the unit once it is attached to a tripod or the included magnetic mount. I used the unit indoor to quickly set a level line on a wall. It also has a spot level so that you can locate a point on the floor and the laser level projects a spot onto the ceiling. This was on sale and it was a great buy!

This item is only available at a store 32 miles away. When I try to purchase it online- alone or with $500 worth of other stuff- the shipping charge is $79. Delivery/shipping is $0 on the more expensive ones. This isn't an appliance. Tried to call CS at 7:45, because it's apparently selling out, but CS closed at 7:30. Very unhappy with Lowe's. Sorry to leave this as a product review.

A little bit weak

Works well for the price, but the lines are hard to see if there is too much sunlight coming in the windows. 40 feet is a little optimistic, 30 feet is a little more realistic. Definitely indoor use only. Gets the job done once you learn how to use it. I would buy it again if I had the chance to do so.

This saved my sanity!

There was a bit of a learning curve since I never used a laser level before, but I like it! The laser can lose visibility if sunlight is too strong, but I was able to work with it for hanging a tedious picture wall. I HATE lining up photos, but this made it enjoyable. I use it to line up the tops of assembled furniture and other vertical and horizontal surfaces.

Second purchase--still no success

Started with a cheaper BOSCH model. Would NOT stop blinking. New batteries, mounted on tripod, no mistreatment. When I spent many minutes with very very very fine adjustments to level the tool itself, it would finally stop blinking. Returned that one. Bought this one, 2x price. same exact problem. If the mounting/resting surface is the slightest bit out of level, it will NOT stop blinking. I don't work for NASA, on micro-precision projects. I do home remodeling. Awesome for interior use!

Was able to hang two large size picture frames near my stairwell using the Bosch stand and using the self leveler on this Bosch laser. I do agree with others, the laser light cannot be used outside, as too much sun light/bright light will drown the laser. I got his on sale for about 50% off and couldn't have been happier with my purchase!

I bought this around two years ago for some projects. Now that I finally take it out to use it for the first time, the horizontal line will not work. Never been dropped and never left out in the elements. Not pleased at all.

Won't stop blinking

I bought this 18 months ago and was still in box till yesterday. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth the wait ... the unit won't stop blinking. Changed batteries, put it on all kinds of flat surfaces and nothing makes the blinking stop. The blinkin' Bosch is blinkin' like a blinkin' beacon!!
