Deceptive advertising

The ad for this laser level shows it being used at an angle. Even the Operating and Safety Instructions show the instrument used at an angle on page 4. But in reality this cannot be done without the laser lines flashing. This is deceptive.

Bosch, they can do better

Bosch brand usually means they spent more time engineering to produce better product, i guess this time they just tossed out any kinda of form/fit or engineering. Bright and level line, every time

I recently purchased a home, and have been taking in a variety of different projects. This laser level has been especially helpful getting the cabinets and shelving set up in the kitchen and closets. It has mounts for a tripod and comes with a clip-type mount that I have been using to attach it to various doors near my project sites instead orlf purchasing a tripod. MM2 Mounting Device Broke 1st Use

Bought this laser level about a year ago. Laser works fine, MM 2 mount broke with first use. No excessive force, just used as normal. Contacted Bosch, they told me to send them a # located on the level which I did. Never heard from them again. If you need the base (which I do) do not buy a level with this type mount.

ok, but sight window is horrible

I've used a bosch red laser level for years. 100ft indoor use. I thought I'd try this green laser since we mainly do kitchens, custom tile showers, etc. the 40ft would be plenty, right? Wrong. the sight window is so narrow on this laser level, and accuracy is not even close to my older (7yrs old) red laser level. when we compared this to our older model, it couldn't even come close to getting bright clean lines up close. Laser OK - Mount Broke

Disappointing

You can’t angle the laser up or down so you can’t use it for floor tile or walls. The unit must be perfectly level so if you are trying to project a horizontal line on a wall the laser must be the same height. If you are laying floor tile the laser must be on the ground. You can’t mount the laser on a tripod and point the line towards the floor. The laser will be out of level and continuously flash.

Nice laser very small footprint with bright line

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Bosch red laser and a green laser. My red laser was a GLL25-10 and last year I got a green laser GLL40-20G. What a difference the green line makes! When taken outdoors, they both do not work too well. Not sure the green is any better than the red. Indoors, I do see a big difference. Works pretty great if you bother to read the manual. Which clearly is the reason people don't seem to get it. I believe you have to start out within 4 degrees of level. No it's not the Hubble Telescope. Compound, neck breaking angles are tough at this price. Adjust. Don't tighten it down until it stops blinking. Hold it steady and tighten. Works.

Certainly not for the professional

Recently purchased this to replace my other brand of laser that grew legs and walked away. The window on the laser is too small. At 4' from a wall, the horizontal line is about 6' long. My previous level was 16'. When placed on the floor to shoot a vertical line on the ceiling, the line does not project onto the ceiling until about 5' in front of the level.
