Indispensable tool for the lady with a yard

I love my pole saw. It has made cutting branches and reaching into flowerbeds so much easier. It is also safer to cut limbs that have fallen out of my oak trees, because it allows me to keep a safe distance. That saw cuts through an oak limb like a hot knife through butter. It is great for a 5'4" lady to use, even when I add the center piece to make it longer. The battery will last long enough to cut up one 30-foot limb into 18" logs. Cordless pole saw

This really has been a safety and time saver. Now I don’t need to be on a ladder to do my trimming. It cuts good and easy to handle. Battery last through must cuttings. This makes 5 black and decker tools I have. Ernie Bowen

Pole Saw two bad batteries

I received this pole saw as a Christmas gift and it came with a spare battery in addition to the packaged battery.. I had no need to use it until today. I unpacked and assembled it. I placed the battery in the charger and after more than 10 hours of charging the red light is blinking. The spare battery I was given with it also does not charge.and is still blinking as I type. Since it's a cordless device it is useless without a functioning battery. I do not reccomend this product.

Background: I have used chain saws and related equipment for over fifty years in non commercial settings. I take care of my equipment and am willing to pay for a well made and reliable product. I've owned this pole saw for approximately 2 months. Its primary use has been trimming limbs and cutting kudzu vines in a badly overgrown area. Not good for long term

i bought this pole saw to use in my lawn care business, i use it periodically, its NOT good for long term or all day use, i would avoid try cutting up to 6" in diameter as the battery will drain pretty quickly. It's better to use it on smaller, shorter cuts, i personally feel the 20v battery isn't enough, for example i use it the other day to cut maybe 3" diameter branches i only cut about maybe 4 or 5 of them that i couldn't reach, i tell the battery was losing power by the time i was done, bot...

Does the job, easy enough

Can't say it is all that excellent, there are several issues to talk about. I am no expert by any stretch of the word, but I can say that chain saw's need oil, this does not have that option, but does come with an empty bottle to put it on there yourself. The screws that hold the blade tension will fall out while using, and finding a replacement might not be that easy (still looking) now on to good points. Not What Was Expected

This would not make a clean cut. Tried laying on the branch, applying a little pressure, and applying a lot of pressure. It just bounced. Checked the chain and oiled (brand new - so chain should be good). Still the same thing. Perhaps it was because I was trying to trim off branches that were ~8' from the main trunk (~1-1/2" to 2" branches). Whatever I did the saw simply bounced off the branch (and being further from the trunk the limb was also bouncing - making the cutting that much worse...

Good For Home Use

I've had this almost a year and still works great for trimming small trees around my home. I would not use this for daily or commercial use as it's not made for that. The only thing I wish it had was an auto chain oiler, but really not a deal breaker at this price. I would give it 5 stars if it were made in the USA.
