It drives the staples fully. The durable metal handle is a little hard at times to hold as it is somewhat slippery when you are holding it at an odd angle. Good Heavy Duty Stapler
Bought this stapler to replace an old on that the spring had broken in. This new stapler has heavier impact to drive the staples than the old one did, and I like the added loop to lock down the handle before storing. The new model is a great improvement over the old model.

Nonstop Jamming
I bought this tool last summer to install plastic fencing. It jammed nonstop. I had to carry a needle nosed pliers to pull out mangled jammed 1/2 inch T50 staples. I had to take it apart to unjam regularly. Now I am installing R15 insulation between wall studs and same story. This was once considered the gold standard of staplers. No longer true!
