These tiles are very easy to fit into a ceiling grid. We were redoing our rec room ceiling and replacing the old worn ones with these which were the same. We basically removed the old and reinserted the new. On the ones that needed to be cut, we just held the old one on the new one and cut it accordingly. We had our old ones for 45 years and they held up

I just purchased 5 boxes of these tiles 2X4 size. They are to replace a ceiling that we have had in our downstairs for 45 years. Other than stains of the old tiles, these held up for all those years wonderfully and that's why I bought the same to replace the old ones. Be careful buying from lowes!

I personally won't buy from lowes again. Bought this pack of ceiling tiles, which i special ordered & paid for before receiving. While installing found 2 that had damage. Tried to return, they informed me that to do that i would have to return all! So can someone please tell me why they'd take the other 14 back to throw in garbage instead of just replacing the 2 that were damaged.

A Great looking CeilingTile for Finished Basements

I bought this tile to replace existing conventional ceiling tile that had bowed overtime due to moisture. These new tiles are designed for high moisture areas. Even though my basement is temperature and moisture controlled I did not want my new ceiling tiles to be vulnerable in a potentially moist environment. Terrible quality control

These are special order items and have to get picked up at Lowes. The packaging is awful and the tiles get damaged in transit. I've had to order these four separate times to finish my project because there is always damage. One order was entirely not useable and the others had at least 4-6 damaged panels, The corners especially get dinged up. If I had not already invested my time and effort into putting some up, I would have switched products.

Great Alternative for acoustical ceiling panels

Replaced the 30 year old ceiling panels in our downstairs family room. Product is much easier to cut and install than acoustic , especially if your trimming around lights fixtures or odd shaped areas that have numerous cuts. Don't have to worry about breaking off edges or corners of rigid panels since they have ability to flex. Great product, lousy packaging

This was for a replacement rather than a new install. Incredibly light and flexible compared to the old standard tile which is great for those custom cuts and tight limited space areas. The tricky part is being careful not to catch the opaque film on an edge and have it pull away from the insulation. Vinyl side of the tiles is very thin

I used these tiles to replace old tiles in my basement. I have two issues with these tiles. 1. The vinyl side is supposed to give the tile its rectangular shape. This side is so thin that it would either buckle or peel off while trying to fit the tiles in the grid. 2. Fine fiberglass fibers keep dropping through the seams if I play loud music. This was a total waste of $123.84.

Easy to use but very expensive

Needed to replace all my drop ceiling tiles. These type were the only option I had for the basement area. As other posts suggest, you must be very careful handling them as they damage very easily. Be sure to look over the cartons as you select them. If the cardboard around the edges are dented or creased then all the tiles inside will likely be damaged also. Armstrong Ceiling Tiles

Replaced similar Armstrong tiles I installed 35 years ago. I have a wood stove in this room and the tiles were getting a little soiled so decided to replace them. The room is in the basement so it's important to have a ceiling that allows access to the electric and plumbing running through the joists and this kind on ceiling easily allows for that. I like the ease of installation, lightweight and the small amount of sound dampening these tiles provide.
