Good match but not packaged well

This was a good match to our existing ceiling tiles (which we bought probably 10 years ago). Had to special order, unfortunately out of a box of 16 so many had broken/banged up edges from shipping, we had to return.

Not the Same Quality as old Model

My house has these tiles in a drop ceiling in the basement. The old version 266 is much sturdier than the new 266B. I had to re-do a room because the prior owners failed to adequately plan and one line of tiles was only 1.5" wide in the ceiling. It looked cheap. (There were other issues with room too) Looked into other tiles, but decided to use same tiles for consistency of look. While the brightness of the new tiles looks a little better than the old model, the 266B are super-thin compared...

'Brighton' - best appearance at reasonable cost

I reduced this to 3 stars because Lowes only sells in full cartons with no option to check for inferior tiles. As you can read in other reviews, even in packages that don't appear to be damaged, you will have less-than-perfect tiles. I averaged about 2 per box that could not be used as a 'whole' tile. On my ceiling I had enough trim required that I was able to use most of the tiles that had bad areas. Nice Look, but Poorly Made

These tiles look nice, but they are thin and hard to cut. The tile material is not very dense and tends to crumble unless cut with a new, sharp razor blade. I’m in the process of replacing some older tiles that aren’t recessed, and because they have a higher density, are much easier to cut. I believe that this is why so many others have complained about tiles being damaged in the box. Hidden damage

This sounds like a stuck record but every single one of the tiles had a damaged corner. I had read reviews about damage problems so I was careful to handle them with kid gloves. I had also looked at the package at the store and could not tell what was inside. I had two electricians at my house doing a pot lighting install so I was forced to use the damage tiles as opposed to having high priced labor setting around while I made another trip to Lowes. Service at this store has gone significatly down

Shipment was 5 days late and damaged when it arrived. Store personnel were not available at the pick up counter to get order.

Other than the damage the tiles were a delight.

The packaging of the tile created a lot of damage to the edges and corners of individual tiles. I experienced loses of up to three tiles but managed to use at least half by carefully managing them in places requiring cutting to fit in areas other than straight 24 x 24 pieces.
