Ariens Ikon 52-in 23-HP V-twin Zero-Turn Lawn Mower

I have owned a 52 inch ikon with Kawasaki motor for 5 years now and have not had an issue with it cutting grass. I cut about 1.5 acres every week during the growing months here in Nashville. The battery is still the original one. The only issue I have with this unit is the timer has stopped working with 92.8 hours. I assume it probably has over 150 hours on it by now. So far, so good. I’ve only made one cut with it. It seems quite fast when I speed up, and the seat is comfortable. I’ll probably get the bagger to help me with the clippings.

Awesome mower!

Bought this mower during Covid Spring 2020. Ikon 52XD with Kawasaki engine. Previously had a lawn service but could not work due to Covid. Fantastic machine. Paid for itself vs the service after 3 years. And it just keeps rolling along. Starts every time and excellent cut. This is the one you want

You get a professional quality mower at a homeowner's price. Great motor, heavy welded deck, clean cutting, dependable etc etc etc I have about 4 acres that I keep mowed much of it uneven and bumpy and this mower handles it easily.

second mower fail 3 hours

I had to take the first one back to Lowe's after the second time I used it because the PTO stopped working. returned it with no issues and got a new one. this time it keeps wanting to stall out and shut off and it is still under 3 hours. I don't understand how I could get two bad mowers back to back

Quality mower

Ive has it a few weeks now and it works great. The foot lever for the deck hight adjustment is great and very easy to used . The built in steps makes for easily getting on and off the mower. Love the lights on the front as well as the power outlet . Quality is great. Definitely happy with the purchase

Great mower

I decided to get a Ariens mower over a bad boy and I showed up to Lowe’s to get it and this one was marked $1000 off for it was a return. I looked over mower seems to run great and mow great as well. Only complaint I have so far is my yard is very wet clay so tires that come with it will cause me to slide down hills. Swapped tires out for some turf reapers and solved my problem!

issues at 2.9 hours

didn't even get a chance to really see how it does before the PTO failed during cutting. had this mower exactly a month and has 2.9 hours and the PTO stopped working. the blades will not come on at all. all the fuses are good, I have no idea. now I got to find a dealer to figure out what went wrong

Just ok

We've had the Ariens Ikon mower about a week. I've put about 3 hours on it. I agree with other reviews that it cuts well but the steering is so stiff/tight that it makes my hands go numb. It requires too much pressure to operate the steering. I wonder if it was put together incorrectly at the store. Plus, the mower deck is extremely loud and it makes random vibration noises. I wish I hadn't bought it and I'd return it if I could.

Firstly, the delivery was at the indicated time. This monster started up right after I filled up with gasoline. The quality is good, the engine, in my opinion, has excess power, you need to learn how to control a smooth ride on wet grass. I put a malchin kit cover that works with original knives. I am writing a review after five mowings of the grass, I hope Ariens Ikon 2023 will not disappoint me. I recommend this mower to anyone who has 1 acre or more.
