A solid performer

Setup took about an hour. I had to adjust the skidplates to avoid leaving a skim of snow on every pass. This version has one speed setting and you shut it off by pulling the key. The remote chute control along with the hands-free auger engagement when the drive is engaged make it easier to redirect the thrown snow as you are moving. I bought this product pre-assembled and it was in great shape. The label on the engine said it might have oil in it so I had to check - it did. We filled the tank with gas, opened the gas valve, and used the electric start to start it. It took several seconds to start it the first time and I had to set the choke to get it to start. ‘New’ snowthrower didn’t look new when it arrived.

The snowthrower was not a ‘new’ product out of the box. It was covered in dirt, I had to pull leaves out of the discharge chute, and half the label on the machine was faded from being in the sunlight. An uncoated wire was used to keep a cable in place resulting in rust on the cable. If I buy a new product, I expect new condition, unless a break on the cost is part of the deal. Almost impossible to start

I don't typically write reviews but I am very disappointed in this purchase! First one I got from lowes was in an oily box, after assembly I checked gear box oil as per instructions and found it was empty. Ordered the recommended oil, filled it and it leaked out within a couple days. So took it back and they gave me one already assembled. this unit was assembled improperly, it works, runs great too, even though the crack lowes assembly team overfilled it with oil. it's just too bad they never hooked up the right wheel to the DRIVE LIKE THEY DID THE LEFT SIDE. Not recommend

Extremely disappointed. This product is useless in a blizzard as it refuses to start in cold weather. This isn't the product I was looking. Customer service from both the seller and the manufacturer is non-existent—expect endless phone loops and zero solutions. The solution they provided costs couple hundred. Avoid this model if you actually plan on using it in the snow.
