We purchased this u it for our vacation rental home and installed it in late Dec 2025. We are able to visit this week (Jun 2026) and the entire caulk around the seems has some loose. We have re-caulked, however, the edges are loose and there is nothing behind them. This means you can push on the edge and the caulk will come loose. Pain to Install

Be ready to reframe the entire alcove area. This requires studs at very specific locations. I made the mistake of installing tub and then reading the directions for the surround. If I had read the instructions first I would have went with a different tub and surround. Even after following the directions to the letter it did not stick in some places. It is going to be good enough for a flip house but I would not recommend for my own house.

Reviews are bad because people don't read

I actually purchased these shower walls prior to reading the reviews. After reading the reviews I was worried, but it was a matching set with the tub I purchased so I said screw it I'll install it anyway. People are complaining about it needing OSB backing. Yes. Read. Read the product description, instruction manual, or product title. Reading any of those will enlighten you to the fact that you need 7/16 OSB backing. I read all of the reviews here prior to purchase and thought about returning for a different model. I think the only thing they should change about the way they advertise it is they need to remove the "direct to studs" mention. It's not. There is extra work involved that leads to the negative reviews. Flimsy and poor instructions

It seems like companies pride themselves on writing instructions written by a 1st grader. First, there is no mention of OSB until a customer reads the instructions which are in the box. You could print " 1/2 OSB required for installation" on the box or at least list in the materials section of the instruction paper. They should have all items needed listed on the outside of the box. Bought this 2 years ago and the back wall now has vertical cracks in it from bottom to top but just in the middle. Thin and cheap

Very cheap and thin plastic. Super bendy and flexible as soon as it was taken out of the box. Extra materials required for behind the wall which costs extra money. Wall does not click together and will need to be glued. I will be returning to get something more sturdy and better made.

beyond flimsy

I have installed dozens of surrounds and this one takes the cake, its misleading and says its direct to studs/Glue on, well you better put your studs on 4" centers, extremely thin and flimsy, would not recommend at all, it should be priced at the 100.00 range tops

Nightmare

I wish I had found these reviews before I purchased both a tub/shower combo with American Standard Tub and a 6ft shower surround with American Standard shower pan!!! I always thought of American Standard as manufacturing good products, I couldn't have been more wrong!!!
