Good Value, Works With Apple Homekit, Not Perfect
I installed a LUX Kono at my house in 2018 and have loved it. In 2022 there was a power surge in my neighborhood and a problem appeared with the display having some of the LCD elements with very faint brightness. I purchased a new unit at Lowe's in Feb 2023 intending to swap out the unit. In the process of unplugging and retrying the old one, the LCD came to life and seemed to be fine again. Probably due to one of the pins that connect the front panel to the base unit had developed a bad connect...

A GREAT LITTLE WI-FI T-STAT
In spite of a lot of critical reviews, I found this very easy to install. Our existing setup, like many others, did not have a "C" wire, but I was able to make a connection at the furnace that solved the problem. They also supplied a kit to create a power supply, but we did not need to use it. We have used it in a house that is far away from our main home, and were able to monitor and change temperature from away with zero issues.

This product is trash
The app does not work, it never connects to the wifi, the heat does not work, it just gets colder and colder. There is no way to get in touch with anyone at this company. There phone system has been down for a week. You can’t contact tech support, sales department, No Body. They should be sued for selling this product to families. The customer service at the Lowe’s was an amazing experience, but this thermostat is the worse. If I can give it a zero I would
Very Poor Product
I purchased this product because of it's 4 star rating. Should have a .4 star rating. The instructions are terrible. Very vague, and inconsistent terminology. And that is the good part. The app for my android phone is almost unusable. I create a schedule, but it always shows the schedule is turned off. When I try to set the temperature back at night, it switches from heat to cool. Why not just let the temperature drop on it's own? The thing is nothing but a cheap (expensive) piece of gar...
garbage product
don't buy this thermostat! I should have trusted reviews. I was excited for the Alexa capability and the style. after running a c wire for power it worked poorly for 1 minute, the lighting was fading in and out and then it just failed. after testing all the wires and power it was clearly a unit failure. will be returning.
False advertisement
The thermostat advertises as a digital unit that can be connected to wifi and uses google assistant and Alexa. The thermostat doesn't connect to wifi and after numerous attempts, it doesn't recognize itself within its own app. I tripled checked that the connections were correct with wiring up the thermostat and it functions as a thermostat, independent from Google assistant, Alexa, and the app. I give it 2 stars because all the parts included are functional and the thermostat works.

I really like this Kono smart thermostat. I was looking for something that worked natively with Apple HomeKit and decided to go with this one. Its was only $99 vs the cheapest Nest @$149 and Nest is not Homekit compatible. Installation was a little long, only because i didnt have C Wire on my existing wiring. Purchased this only to find out in the middle of the install that it is in compatible with my heat pump. It suggests calling their technical support about halfway through the install if the wiring configuration are different between the heat pump and the thermostat. The one and only phone number to the company that makes this product is disconnected. Not a good sign! Buy a more reputable brand.
Stick with a Brand you know
I must have received a clunker. Thermostat is 5 degrees off and unit turns a/c on it seems at will. I only paid 5 bucks from ComEd and I would like to have my money back. This is going in the trash and I will gladly pay up for a Honeywell.
