Would RecommendI bought this for an outdoor light at my church, a fixture than 2 different electricians had said would be extremely difficult (& expensive) to attach to a 'standard' dusk/dawn sensor due to its location. This simple device not only accomplished my goal of having overnight light in a dark area, but did it at a fraction of the cost & time.

Would Not RecommendWhen I first installed this Woods sensor, it turned my outdoor light on several hours before sunset. Then after only two months, it stopped turning the light off completely. I had to remove it and buy something else.

An extremely reliable dusk to dawn option
This has been a very reliable product that I have bought a few over the years. A very nice dusk to dawn option for outside lighting. On average I’d say they last just over 5 years with continuous year round use through cold winters and hot summers.

I bought this to replace a light-sensitive bulb that had burned out. It was several years old. The bulb that I replaced had the light sensor on the bulb itself. I purchased it at Lowe's. Unfortunately, Lowes no longer carries it so I had to settle for this type. It works, but adds an additional couple of inches so the bulb now extends below the glass enclosure.
