This is a new water softener that I purchased a week ago. I am still waiting for its performance.

Takes Up More Space Than Expected

This unit takes up more space than I expected. Since the softener and filtration system are combined together, you need a decent amount of room around it for installation and salt refills. Not ideal if your utility area is already tight.

Damage product

3rd party delivery person to care about the product. Didn’t use dolly to move from Van to my front door

I purchased and had it installed and the size fit great in my small garage. The softness of the water is great!

Self-Cleaning Still Uses Water

The “self-cleaning” feature sounded convenient, but the system still has to flush and drain water to clean itself. I wish the product page were clearer about how much extra water this process uses over time.

Whirlpool softer and filter

Just installed this one, as a replacement for the other one that was 3 years old. Whirlpool warranty was easy to work with and shipped me a new one within a week. This one is running good so far (2 weeks).

Poor delivery

I didn’t install this product. It was delivered damaged. I took the refund. I’m disappointed in the delivery process. The delivery date was pushed back three times and it arrived damaged.

Horrible Service

I have repeatedly contacted support and have not gotten any response for the problems i am having my unit is 2.5 years old and not working. I have been faithful with their quarterly cleaning solution and they are not helping me out with any advice or warranty repairs.

Item Delivered in Damage

The issue I suspected happened. The water softener was delivered halfway up the driveway and left on its side. Today, when the plumber came to install it, we opened the box at the final stage and found it was damaged. Unfortunately, I now have to call the plumber back and pay additional labor costs. Very disappointed with the delivery handling.

Does not last.

We have had the system installed for less then 6 months. it stopped filtering the water about a month ago. cleaned it out, etc. no change. it stopped softening the water now as well. do not recommend and impossible to get help or file through the warranty. Lowes customer service will not help either

Dual Purpose Filter and Soft Water

This is the second one. The first one lasted about 6 years. The failure was severe enough to make the cost of repair too high. The new model has improvements to help keep that kind of failure from happening.They work very well.

Some Improvement over version -4

This is the second unit we bought. The last one in 2020 failed with catastrophic damage to the cycling valve (no longer available) due to a broken motor gear. Improvements have been made in this model, some good some not. The valve motor and cam now have steel gearing, but the new cover makes the brine well difficult to access and the salt bin cover doesn't come off easily. Also no documentation comes with this one. There is a sheet with a QR code leading to a site where installation instruction...

Product arrived very damaged

Water softener arrived damaged like it had been dropped off the truck

Received Broken

I was so excited to try this unit. I had all my plumbing done and waiting on the unit. It arrived via FedEx at 8 pm after I had to leave. Opened the next morning to find the unit broken. I can't believe you would send something like this through FedEx! Now I'm scared to order another one.
