Whirlpool softer and filter

Just installed this one, as a replacement for the other one that was 3 years old. Whirlpool warranty was easy to work with and shipped me a new one within a week. This one is running good so far (2 weeks).

Horrible Service

I have repeatedly contacted support and have not gotten any response for the problems i am having my unit is 2.5 years old and not working. I have been faithful with their quarterly cleaning solution and they are not helping me out with any advice or warranty repairs.

Some Improvement over version -4

This is the second unit we bought. The last one in 2020 failed with catastrophic damage to the cycling valve (no longer available) due to a broken motor gear. Improvements have been made in this model, some good some not. The valve motor and cam now have steel gearing, but the new cover makes the brine well difficult to access and the salt bin cover doesn't come off easily. Also no documentation comes with this one. There is a sheet with a QR code leading to a site where installation instruction...

I bought a couple of weeks ago because the other one only lasted 2 years but this would hook right up to it installation was easy I just hope this one last

Hasn't worked from the start. Have only had it under 90 days. NO manual came with it. Service department is terrible, will not help. I'm 70 years old and don't know what to do, just throw away the money from the water softener and installation I guess. Terrible way to treat senior citizens.

Water filter and softener in one!

It's been two months now since I bought this unit and its working like a charm.

Definitely a plus

Went 20 yrs in our home without a water softener. Wondering why such brittle hair and dry, burning skin. So far very happy with product and I can even stand to drink the faucet water now.

Just as advertised

Just recently had our Hybrid water softener installed by a professional because of the need for additional plumbing. It's our first water softener in our new home and we can already feel,smell and taste the difference. I would definitely recommend this unit to friends and family. I'm signing up for the automatic delivery of the softener cleaner from Whirlpool for the peace of mind knowing it's going to be covered under the extended warranty. I will update my review after a couple of months.

Easy to install, already see the effects

I bought this unit just after the new year. I purchased based on other reviews. The unit came packaged well and the instructions were fairly simple. I’m a decent DIYer, so the install wasn’t terribly difficult. The bypass value is pretty difficult to get seated properly with the provided clips, so definitely recommend an extra set of hands. We tested the water prior to using the unit and were about 400ppm…very hard. About 3 days after install, I tested again and it was almost zero. After 2 weeks...

Efficient Softener

I bought this softener and I installed on Dec. 13th (Friday). After the initial recharge, I waited until Dec. 30th @ 2:00am before on demand recharge happened !! (Over two weeks). Was beginning to wonder if it was actually working!!

Convenient soft and whole home filter

It is too easy to install it by myself, so far it is good. I chose it because its space saving.

Great features

I purchased this unit and is absolutely the best water softener I have used so far. My wife and I and occasionally two grandkids and has not failed to provide excellent soft water, very happy with our purchase. I've had three other softners over time and have used exchange tanks for about six years after installing and using this whirlpool softener I feel we were getting ripped off with the exchange tanks not even close to the softness of the water we are receiving now.
