Ugly horrible experience

What a frustrating, horrible experience so far. This dishwasher failed the SECOND TIME it was used, Lowes refuses to assist, Whirlpool is unavailable, and I am stuck. The Lowes "customer service" line will not help at all because my call was more than 48 hours after delivery. (Yes, the failure actually happened 54 hours after delivery, the SECOND TIME it was used, and that failure was discovered about 63 hours after delivery.) Whirlpool dishwasher design has regressed.

Bought this unit to replace a 9 year old model. The older model was $300 less, had most of the same features and was more accessible underneath than this one. The installation instructions were awful on the new one. They had zero pictures or diagrams to show where the water and drain lines are. I mean, you can eventually figure it out, but come on. Love my dishwasher but very disappointed after my plumber installed it and took off the plastic from the door it had a very big dent on the side of the door. After waiting for 2 weeks and paying him for his hour labor , I would keep it.

The dishwasher seems to be working great. Only thing is I was not told that it would need a power cord. I knew it needed the other hoses, and I was doing that part. I was able to use the old dishwasher's cord. Also, if Lowes has a military discount, then why does it not apply to appliances when they are on sale? It's only been a week but the self open feature is great allows you to save energy and allow it to air dry overall the dishwasher seems to work great with little or no noise

Lowes Installation Fail

Dishwasher works great. Not due to the Lowes Installer who refused to install the dishwasher as he claimed the existing plumbing was too old and he was afraid he might break it. He also claimed that he didn't have the parts needed for the install. In the end, he left it and said someone from Lowes would be calling me to issue a refund for the installation. That was July 3. Great whirlpool dishwasher

Love this whirlpool dishwasher. I love that it has the upper 3rd rack. It is very quiet when washing. I also like when it is finished washing the door pops open a little bit so you know it’s complete. It is sleek. The installer Julio was awesome! He worked quickly and did a great job!
