The even heating on cast iron grates is great for fast cooking and leaving grill marks. I tend to cook low and slow so I have not used the sear zone yet but testing it looks promising. Lowes assembled and delivered it which was a huge benefit. They even carried it up a few stairs to put it on my deck. It preheats quickly and the coating on the grates keep food from sticking.
