Be sure to prepare the wood before you apply the paint. I used two coats so be sure to get enough paint. I definitely recommend you check it out for yourself.

Thick paint!

We used it to paint our fence and I would normally think you would need at least two coats to cover wood, but not with this paint. It only took a single coat to get great coverage on the fence boards. The color was just white so not much to talk about there, but its great paint.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never used Valspar Barn & Fence Latex Exterior Paint and I am so happy I did! I have used this paint on many of my exterior projects. I have an old wooden fence that needed some love. This paint went on easily with only one coat, my fence looks brand new. I also painted the front of my cement stairs. Again, only one coat and they look beautiful! I will be using this paint for many more outdoor projects as soon as spring comes along.

Great Outdoor Paint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband had said he wanted to paint our fences. It was left up to me to go get paint for outdoors use. I found VALSPAR® BARN & FENCE LATEX EXTERIOR PAINT - White. I didn’t have to buy and primer because it’s already in the paint. He really liked the paint. It covers really well and dries. This is the paint he said he’s going to stick to for outdoor uses and it’s easy on the wallet!

Great color!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this paint for my wooden deck and fence. After prepping the area by sanding and cleaning, the paint went over the surface very well. It was easy to apply and the odor wasn’t too strong. The color maintained its vibrancy after drying and curing. Has been easy to maintain with cleanup. I recommend this product will. Look forward to try it out in other colors as well.

Not yet the tell but

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far my wooden fence looks great but I need to wait to see if it holds up. At least six months of Texas heat. It’s pretty thin and needs to apply multiple layers to be the right color. After applying the layers the color is bright and I am waiting to see through the multiple weather.

The fence around my place was looking very dull and I was sure it would need a few coats to make it look better. But after one coat it looked great. After two coats it was perfect and I didn’t need to apply anymore. It gives a great, even finish.

Works well

It is easy to apply and it didn't wear away after it rained. I waited for a sunny day to apply it to my flower box which is a wooden rectangle box. I followed the instructions with applying two coats of paint with projects. It looks good and still has a thick coat even after two weeks with some rain and snow on it. I would get this again and recommend it to ...
