What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this paint for exceptional coverage, smooth application, and value. Most highlight that one coat often suffices, even over dark or existing colors, and many emphasize the primer-in-one convenience and vibrant results. Reviewers consistently note outstanding coverage with minimal coats, smooth gliding application without streaking, and easy cleanup with fast drying. The combination of quality performance and affordability drives strong brand loyalty and repeat purchases. A small number report needing extra coats or experiencing peeling, though these issues are vastly outweighed by positive feedback.

Amazing deep color and good coverage
Would RecommendI purchased the Valspar Ultra Eggshell (Base C) at my local Lowe's to paint a dark navy blue accent wall. Since it is a base for deep tones, I was worried it would require too many coats, but the Scrub Shield technology worked beautifully. With just two coats, I achieved an even, vibrant color with no roller marks. The Eggshell finish is perfect because it is not too glossy but still super easy to clean. The staff at Lowe's did a flawless job with the tinting. Highly recommended!
