Ratings & Reviews for Valspar Interior Multi-purpose Water-based Wall and Ceiling Primer ( 1-gallon )

Paint does not arrive in timely fashion

Paint came 2 weeks later than it said would be delivered which really messed up our plans. One of the containers of paint was not sealed, appeared to have been opened, and there was paint all over the can and box.

Best paint result ever!

This product was high quality and covered well. It was easy to clean up as well.

Paint peels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hired a painter to paint the garage using this primer. I took well to the concrete however on the drywall it started peeling even after multiple applications. The job took longer than expected.

Did an excellent job covering stains.

Works great

Works just as good as kills and saved a good bit buying valspar

Meh

This product did not cover with one coat at all.

One coat won't do it

This paint required multiple coats to get the look I wanted.

Good primer

Good primer walls were dark brown was painting them light gray so used this to prime and the light gray covered in one cote

Primed Concrete patio

This primer went on well and dried quickly. I used it on a covered concrete patio before putting on a finish coat. It was rated for 400 square feet but I only got a little over 200 square feet. My surface was very rough and porous so I guessing that’s why Other than that I would recommend

Good primer for walls

Worked well as a primer for both covering bare drywall and existing paint. Just needed one coat to prep for paint.

Always Gets the Job Done

Always Trustworthy, great coverage and colors

Great value easy to use

Great primer for bare wood or drywall.
